Training consistently and progressing aren't always the same thing.

Kat and Deb were already putting in the work. What they needed wasn't more training ... they needed something to change.

Eight weeks later, they're stronger, lifting weights they'd been stuck at for over a year, and clearly still having a lot of fun along the way 😂

Sometimes working harder isn't the answer.
Sometimes you need to look at how you're training.

Got your HYROX Melbourne ticket? Now it's time to do something with it 🚀

With around 15 weeks until race week, there's still plenty of time to get stronger, improve your running, build your engine and get better at the movements you'll face on race day.

HYROX training is already part of what we do at AMRAP Balwyn, with our dedicated 10-week HYROX build starting Saturday 3 October.

If you've got your ticket but you're still figuring out the training part, come and train with us 🔥

Looks fun from here.
Ask them again halfway through. 😂

This is the part of coaching we love.

Seeing someone do something they weren’t sure they could do — and watching what happens to their confidence afterwards.

Sometimes all it takes is a little coaching, a bit of belief, and someone in your corner.

This is why we do it. 💛

There’s a big difference between doing a workout and actually training.

If you’re used to walking into a gym and doing something different every time, repeating movements might seem a little… boring.

But there’s a reason we do it.

Our members are seeing that firsthand this phase.

Hard work is better with good people beside you 👊

The goal isn't to make yourself train.

It's to find a place that makes you want to.

Thanks for sharing your story, Rob. 💛

Most people think getting better at the SkiErg means spending more time on the SkiErg.

Sometimes that's true.

But often, the biggest improvements come from developing the movement behind it.

The med ball slam reinforces the same sequence of force production—driving from the ground, transferring power through the hips and trunk, then finishing with the arms.

That's why not every HYROX session at AMRAP looks like HYROX.

We don't just train the machine.

We train the movement that makes the machine more effective.

Hard work.
Great people.
Wouldn't have it any other way. 👊

One of the biggest mistakes people make is thinking every session needs to look like race day.

It doesn't.

Great HYROX training is about developing the qualities that improve performance on race day:
✔️ Strength
✔️ Running
✔️ Aerobic fitness
✔️ Work capacity

Every session should have a purpose. Every phase should build on the last.

Because race day is where you put it all together—not where you build it.
