All teams that have registered into their respective competition (seniors and juniors), and have the minimum number of players registered i.e. 10 players for senior division teams and 8 players for junior division teams, by Sunday 6 September 2026 will go into the draw for a $500 voucher towards new uniforms for their team.

🏉 BALLINA SENIOR STATE CUP TRIALS – WOMEN’S OPEN & 20s 🦈

Ballina Touch is calling on players interested in representing the Bullsharks at the Senior State Cup!

Touch Football Australia (TFA) has launched its new FREE Community Touch Football Coaching Course, now available online through the NRL Learning Centre.

Whether you're a grassroots coach, a parent wanting to better understand the game, or a volunteer looking to build your confidence on the sidelines, this course is a fantastic opportunity to develop your knowledge while gaining your first coaching accreditation.

As the first step in TFA's Coaching Pathway, the course provides the foundational skills needed to create fun, safe, inclusive and engaging experiences for players of all ages and abilities.

* What's new in juniors*
Ballina Touch is starting an under-5s development competition. This will consist of drills and mini games depending entirely on numbers. Ballina Touch will create a structure around participation. Costs $25, with no hidden extra fees.

Youth competition. We have replaced the under-15s division with a youth competition. 14-17 year olds split into two grades after regrading.

Ballina is committed to improving the women's competition. We will be creating two grades, A and B Grade. We hope this will bring some experienced ladies back to Ballina touch for a social/ competitive competition.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - WINTER TOUCH COMPETITION

As we all know there has only been one round of the Winter competition played due to the constant wet weather we have experienced and the subsequent closure of Saunders Oval. Of the twelve rounds due to have been played by this point in the competition, only one round has been played.

The current condition of the grounds and the weather forecast mean that it will be at least 3 weeks before we can try and resume play.

As such the Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the Winter competition. We realise this will be disappointing for our members and we appreciate everyone’s patience to this point of the season. However, in fairness to everyone that has paid their registration fees, the committee has decided that we cannot run a reasonable competition in the available time before the end of the season.

Our Competition Manager will soon be in Touch with all Team delegates and registered players form the Winter Competition to advise on options to carry your registration over to the summer competition, or receive a refund of the fees paid.

Once again we appreciate members’ patience and understanding - we know that many of you have had your other winter sports affected by the weather as well.
