We’re happy to announce that Noah & Paddy have both re-committed for Season 2027!

Noah has really stepped up as a leader throughout 2026, and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue to grow and mature both on and off the field next season.

And Paddy… well, we’re expecting him to reach “new heights” again in 2027! 😏😂

Two more Lakers locked in and ready to pull on the blue, green & gold again next year.

Great to have you both back, boys!

It’s a huge weekend of finals for our Lakers!

🏐 Senior Netball
5 of our 6 Senior Netball teams head into their first week of finals – an outstanding effort and plenty to get excited about!

🏉🏐 Junior Finals
Our Juniors head into Week 2 of their finals campaign, with an incredible 4 football teams and 5 netball teams still in the hunt!

That’s 14 Lakers teams playing finals this weekend! 🙌

So get out the blue, green & gold, get along to the games and make plenty of noise for our Senior Netballers and Junior football & netball teams.

Good luck to everyone taking the court and field this weekend. Play hard, enjoy the moment and represent the Lakers with pride!

HAMISH BIRKETT RE-SIGNS FOR 2027 💙💚💛

Another exciting young Laker is locked in for 2027, with Hamish Birkett re-signing!

Hamish, a junior star now making a name for himself at senior level for Lakers and playing for the GWV Rebels where he kicked 4 goals in a game at the level. He is an X factor forward, who can get up the ground with his pace and close to goal finishes his work with class.

Just as importantly, Hammer is a terrific clubman. Despite his Rebels commitments, he regularly gets back to Lakers training and is always asking where he can lend a hand. He genuinely loves his club, bleeds blue, green and gold, and we are better for having him around both on and off the field.

There is plenty of exciting football ahead for this young Laker, and we can't wait to see what 2027 brings with both the GWV Rebels and Lake Wendouree FNC.
