Victoria Bowling Club will host its
Open Turnaround Triples on Friday September 25th (AFL Grand Final eve public holiday).

9:30am for a 10am start.
Casual clothes (footy colours).
$75 per team (BBQ lunch included)
3 games of 12 ends (players rotate positions each game)

In February this year, the Ballarat Highlands Bowls Region community came together for a special Women in Bowls round, proudly wearing pink to show their support for community wellbeing.

The round raised an impressive $18,000 for several worthy causes, with $14,000 of that donated to our Cancer Wellness Centre to directly support local cancer care, a cause that is important to the bowling community.

These funds will help the Cancer Wellness Centre continue to provide free exercise and support programs for cancer patients and their families, including Tai Chi, oncology massage, the wig library, and yoga.

The success of this year’s event demonstrates the power of community, proving that when the bowling community comes together, they can make a real difference both on and off the green.

The team at Victoria Bowls Club are hard at work this morning installing our new growth mat from C.E. Bartlett Pty Ltd.
This growth mat helps the ground retain heat to promote grass growth.

Every Thursday we will be bringing back some great memories from the BIG V archives, starting with these 4 good looking roosters!!!!

Big V junior, Micah Oswin had a memorable state debut, part of an incredible side that took out the Junior Tri-Series at Cabramatta against strong New South Wales and Queensland teams.

Micah played a pivotal role in the Victorian boy’s claiming victory, winning 5 out of 6 of his contests. He was selected to skip in the pairs and triples formats and played third in the fours.

Micah was joined by former Victoria junior bowler, Billie Lennecke who also had a fantastic series.

Congratulations to all 16 Victorian juniors on the way they competed and to the coaches for guiding the athletes across the weekend to success.

Micah put in countless hours of work to get the opportunity to wear the state Big V and now looks forward to helping us take out our 5th consecutive Division One pennant. Well done Micah!✌🏼🤍💙
