Firstly, I would like to apologise to all members for the events that occurred during last nights AGM. Due to an unresolved dispute, the AGM will be reconvened on 29 September. I also acknowledge that the AGM was not formally opened in accordance with the required process, and this will be rectified when the meeting is reconvened on 29 September.

I would, however, like to confirm that pre-voting is permitted under our Model Rules, as outlined in the attached information. Where a member has been nominated and voted for a position through a prior nomination process, and another member is subsequently nominated from the floor, the election must then proceed to a ballot, with the candidate receiving the majority of votes being declared elected.

I also apologise for the confusion caused by information presented by another member to the Committee during the meeting. Upon review, that information was based on a different set of Model/Association Rules and does not apply to our incorporated not-for-profit association.A copy of the applicable rules can be found here:
