In February this year, the Ballarat Highlands Bowls Region community came together for a special Women in Bowls round, proudly wearing pink to show their support for community wellbeing.

The round raised an impressive $18,000 for several worthy causes, with $14,000 of that donated to our Cancer Wellness Centre to directly support local cancer care, a cause that is important to the bowling community.

These funds will help the Cancer Wellness Centre continue to provide free exercise and support programs for cancer patients and their families, including Tai Chi, oncology massage, the wig library, and yoga.

The success of this year’s event demonstrates the power of community, proving that when the bowling community comes together, they can make a real difference both on and off the green.

After a huge season, finishing on top, Jill, Anne, Michelle and Heather have earned their spot in the Division 1 Grand Final.

The whole club is behind you ladies — now it’s time to finish the job! Get along to Sebas on Monday afternoon and show your support as they take on the Grand Final.

Congratulations to Heather Hopkinson on being BIBBA’s Ladies Champion of Champions.

Ladies Indoor Pairs final was played today between Heather and Lyn, and Michelle and Kay. Heather and Lyn were the victors today. Congratulations to all the ladies on a great game.

Father and son duo, Ted and Brendan Burke played off in our Men’s Indoor Singles Grand Final. Congratulations to both men, an experience that doesn’t occur very often. Congratulations to Ted on his win.

Heather and Michelle played the CWBC Ladies Championship final today. Michelle started strong taking a good early lead however Heather slowly narrowed Michelle’s lead to come out victorious. Congratulations to the ladies on playing a great game and Heather on her win.
