Week 13 Player of the Week

Congratulations Charlotte McKay

Charlotte has started this season with true grit and tenacity, coming up against bigger opposition, and has never been afraid to get into the contest. A few weeks ago, she had a fall and fractured her foot. Since then, she has continued to show up to trainings and games, cheering her team on and helping out while she has been on the road to
recovery.
This dedication to the team with support for her teammates despite being injured is why i am sponsoring charlotte for player of the week.

Congratulaions Bonnie Giles on being our Week 11, Player of the Week

Bonnie consistently puts in the work, not only at games and training but in her own time, practicing her skills and taking on feedback to become a better player. Her dedication and commitment to improving are really starting to show on the court.

She is extremely coachable, listens to advice, asks questions and genuinely wants to learn, She takes feedback on board and then puts it into practice, which is such a fantastic quality to see in a young player.

Congratulaitons Tabitha Hales on being our Week 10 Player of the Week.

I have watched Tabitha improve her skills and effort from each week, as someone who is brand new to the sport and the club.

She always comes to training and the game with a positive attitude and is supportive of her all teammates.

This week she was able to gain the rewards of her effort, many great defensive plays and scoreboard pressure.

Great resilience and amazing effort for Tabitha this weekend, amazing to see the growth each week.

June Coach of the Month Award goes to Ash Tuffen.

Ash does a fantastic job of teaching his players that basketball is about more than individual performance.
He has worked hard to develop a group of boys who work together, support one another and play as a team.

Just as importantly, Ash consistently teaches and models good sportsmanship and respect for the game. he encourages his players to play within the spirit of the game, whether that means helping an oppsoition player up off the floor, showing respect to referees and opponents, or supporting their team mates.

Ash embodies the values we want to see in a Wildcats coach and through his example, is helping instil those same values in the next generation of wildcats players.

Congratulaions Freya Ferguson on 100 games for Wildcats. Freya was the first player to receive our new Milestone badge.

Congratulations Aayliyah on playing 100 games for wildcats, and also being one of the first players to recive our new milestone badges.

I would like to nominate Aailyah for player of the week. Although I am not Aailyah’s coach, I have been fortunate enough to coach her for a game and have had the opportunity to watch her progression over the past few seasons. I have been incredibly impressed by her work ethic, resilience and dedication to her team.
Aailyah has displayed great determination throughout the season, and last week her hard work truly showed, with a dominant performance on the scoreboard.
Her commitment and determination were evident throughout the game, and she continues to show what a great player and teammate she is.
Keep being the great player you are and the supportive teammate you have consistently shown yourself to be.

Congratulations on your efforts, Aailyah, and good luck for the rest of the season.
