Official page of the Stirling Amateur Football Club Training is on Tuesday and Thursday nights starting at 5:30pm. All new players are welcome.

The Stirling Amateur Football & Sporting Club competes in the Perth Football League and was established in 1998 after a merger of the Osborne Park Football Club (from the Sunday Football League) and the Balcatta Amateur Football Club. The Club is based at Richard Guelfi Reserve, located on Delawney Street in Balcatta, and has some of the best facilities in the League.

PLAYERS' PLAYER MEDALS

The Club has announced the winners of the annual Players’ Player Medals for the League and Reserves grades.

The Players’ Player Medals are separate from the Club Fairest and Best awards and hold particular significance, as they are determined entirely by player votes, with each participant selecting their best teammate after every match.

In the League, the Maldenis Medal, named in honour of club legend Jim Maldenis, was awarded to Harrison Tyler. Tyler secured the medal for a third consecutive year and a record fourth time time overall. Tyler finished with 49 votes to edge out Marcus Lazic on 46 votes and Jayden Cappeau on 37 votes.

The Giamov Medal for the Reserves, named after long-serving club secretary Paul Giamov, was won by first year player, Beau Beale. Beau polled 25 votes to finish ahead of Kane Yates (23 votes) and Levi Morgan (22 votes).

The club congratulates both winners on receiving the recognition of their peers for outstanding performance and consistency throughout the 2026 season.

ROUND 18 REVIEW

The Saints closed out their season in disappointing fashion, going down to Roleystone Tigers by 48 points in the final round at Cross Park. Despite a competitive first half from the Saints, the Tigers’ sustained pressure proved decisive as the match wore on.

The opening term saw the Saints start brightly, with Alliston Pickett kicking the first goal before Roleystone replied quickly. The Saints added another midway through the term, but consecutive Tigers goals in the following minutes swung momentum their way. Roleystone took a 9‑point lead into the first break, 3.4 (22) to 2.1 (13).

The Saints produced their best football in the second quarter. Early goals to Jordan Randazzo, Scott Trickey and Shannon Taylor briefly handed them the lead, showcasing clean ball movement and strong work around stoppages. However, Roleystone steadied with three goals of their own, reclaiming control to lead by 10 points at half time, 6.6 (42) to 5.2 (32).

The Saints again challenged early in the third term, with Jayden Cappeau and Scott Trickey scoring back‑to‑back goals to level the scores. But from there Roleystone tightened their grip, adding three more goals to build an 18‑point buffer heading into the final change.

The last quarter belonged entirely to the Tigers. The Saints were held scoreless as Roleystone piled on four unanswered goals, running out convincing winners 13.15 (93) to 7.3 (45).

Ruckman Kieran Guy worked tirelessly, while Jayden Cappeau was influential on the wing. Marcus Lazic, Harrison Tyler and Scott Trickey also contributed strongly.

Earlier in the day, the Saints only had 18 players available and suffered a heavy 12‑goal defeat in Tom Ryan’s 100th game.

The loss concludes a difficult season for the Saints, with both League and Reserves missing finals. A period of regrouping and targeted recruiting will be essential as the club looks to rebound in 2027.

ROUND 18 PREVIEW

The Saints head south to Roleystone this weekend for the final match of the season, taking on the Tigers at Cross Park.

Our last meeting saw the Saints claim a hard‑fought 21‑point victory, and the boys will need to bring that same intensity to secure another strong result. A win would see the Saints jump above the Tigers into 7th place and avoid a bottom‑two finish, making this clash a crucial one to close out the year.

📅 Game Times
🕐 Reserves – 1:10pm
🕒 League – 3:05pm

We encourage all Saints members and supporters to get down to Cross Park and cheer the boys on as they push for a determined finish to the 2026 season.

TOM RYAN – 100 GAMES

This weekend we celebrate a significant milestone as Tom Ryan pulls on the Saints guernsey for his 100th game.

Since joining the Club in 2019, Tom has become one of the most dependable and respected teammates at the Saints. He spent much of his first season in the Reserves, but a series of strong performances earned him his League debut in Round 13 against Kwinana. Over his eight seasons, he has accumulated 22 League games, 62 Reserves games and 15 Thirds games.

A strong and reliable defender in the number 11 guernsey, Tom has built his reputation across the half-back line, where his toughness, consistency and willingness to put his body on the line have made him a valued member of every side he has represented.

Tom's commitment and performances have also been recognised in the Reserves Fairest and Best voting over a number of seasons, finishing Runner-Up Fairest & Best in 2020, 3rd in 2022, and 6th in 2023.

In 2025, Tom embraced a new challenge by stepping back into the Thirds competition alongside a group of close mates and taking on the captaincy of the side. It proved to be a remarkable season, with Tom dominating to win the Thirds Fairest & Best by more than 40 votes, while also claiming the Mellidis Medal as the player-voted Most Valuable Player.

Whether in the League, Reserves or Thirds, Tom's loyalty, leadership and reliability have made him an outstanding clubman and a terrific contributor to the Stirling Saints.

Congratulations Tom on reaching 100 games. We thank you for your dedication to the Club and look forward to seeing you in many more games.
