The countdown to the 2026/27 cricket season has begun, and it's time to dust off the bat, lace up the boots, and get ready for a huge season!

TEAM CAPTAINS - 2026/27 SEASON

With preparations for the upcoming season underway the club would like to provide the opportunity (like every year) to any players who aspire to captain a senior side for the 2026/27 season.

If you are keen and feel you have the necessary leadership skills and time to undertake such an important role, please email the club at [email protected] expressing your interest and a brief outline of your credentials by 5:00pm Friday, 24 July 2026.

All submissions will be assessed by the Committee and Coach with successful Captains announced in August.

Our very own Julian Lane is participating in a tour of Sri Lanka with the Cricket Australia Masters Over 40s Team.

He'll be in action tomorrow, Sunday 21 June in the 1st T20 and on Monday, 22 June in a ODI.

Congratulations to the following players selected to represent Cricket Australia Masters.

After the tour of Dubai was cancelled earlier in the year, this team will be travelling to Sri Lanka and will play 2 T20s and 4x 45 Over matches against Lanka Masters Cricket Association - LMCA, Vintage Masters, Colombo Masters and Mercantile Masters.

After an impressive stint in WA Premier Cricket with Subiaco-Floreat, we’re thrilled to announce that one of Balcatta’s favourite sons is coming home.

Conor Moldrich returns to the Mighty Cats bringing with him a wealth of experience, knowledge, and skill gained at the one of highest levels of the game. More importantly, he’s excited to be back at his spiritual cricket home.

A valued member of our 2016/17 Premiership team, Conor has always been a proud Cat, and we know his return will have a tremendous impact both on and off the field.

We’re delighted to welcome him back to where it all began.
