When they see her, they think she’s like anyone else.
Except they don’t know of the sleepless nights, endless tears, hardest times and heartbreaks.
The times that she thought she wouldn’t survive but somehow always did.
Her past hasn’t been easy and it’s made her the warrior that she is now.
Sure, she wishes she hadn’t felt that much pain or lost some people, but she learned that everything works out the way it’s meant to.
She stopped staring at closed doors and started embracing opportunities.
None of it was every easy, but then, what in life ever is?
She began trying to understand and grow from the bad stuff rather than dwell and cry about it.
That made all the difference.
She built her armor, piece by piece, from every broken heart and all the dead ends.
You can’t destroy a person that’s rebuilt herself without any help from anyone else.
Now, she keeps a smile on her face and a skip in her step and you’d never know that she’d almost given up so many times.
But the best thing about this woman who doesn’t know how to stay down?
She is you.
