I am extremely proud of this young man. Keon Himiona boxed in the final of the National School Championship this evening against a very skilled well trained opponent from QLD. Boxing a southpaw for the first time in his First National competition allowed Keon to gain valuable experience that will serve him well as he continues to develop his skills. Even though he didn’t get the result, he followed the game plan and listened to the instructions between rounds and I honestly believe it was his best performance against his best opponent so far. Thank you Boxing WA and Boxing Australia can’t wait to do it again. 🖤💛🖤💛

With no fight for Keon today we took the opportunity to stop in and see Gareth and Shara from The Boxing Shop and get a little sweat up. Shoutout to Jack Bowen - Boxer Kirra Ruston - Boxer and teremoana_rep for taking the time for some snaps during their session. Keon really enjoyed the experience.

Big week coming up for this young man. Keon Himiona preparing to represent WA in QLD for the National School Aged competition.
Although he can be a handful in the gym at times Keon always puts the work in and is boxing beautifully heading into the competition. Also along for the trip is our Mascot Swanny Swanson, let’s see if they behave themselves 🖤💛🖤💛

We had a couple of boxers in action this past weekend in North Fremantle Croation Centre special bouts hosted by Boxing WA.
Temperance Smith was up first, finally getting into the ring. Temps has been working hard all year and after a couple of setbacks got her chance to compete.
Temps boxed beautifully controlling the distance and pace of the bout from the centre of the ring across all 3 rounds against a skilled boxer who will only get better. Amazing performance Temps we are very proud 🖤💛🖤💛
Trustin Heperi was our last bout of the evening. Having his first bout at his new weight division Trustin came up against a very strong opponent whose constant pressure proved too much this time around. Trustin is working very hard hard in the gym and we can see his development progressing. This bout will serve as great experience over the coming years. Well done 🖤💛🖤💛
KLW Plan Protect Prosper On a Roll Painting & Decorating Shearing

Himiona boys were in action over the weekend at the Boxing WA U19’s State Titles. We were lucky enough to have Alex from Gillies Shearing and the whole crew from CKI Build in attendance. It was great to have you guys there.
First up was Cortez boxing a very skilled and well trained opponent. Both boys are natural counter boxers making for a very cagey, technical bout. Although it wasn’t Cortez at his best he definitely showed he can mix it up with the best in WA. We’re extremely proud of the work Cortez is putting in this season and his improvement is evident. 🖤💛🖤💛
Keon rematched his opponent from last month making the adjustments necessary to earn a clear victory in a very skilful bout.
Keon’s victory earning him a position in the WA team to compete at the National U19’s Tournament next month. Great achievement young man 🖤💛🖤💛
