Just a friendly reminder that there will be an online information meeting for all Vawdon Cup Referees on the Tuesday 25th August, starting at 6:30pm.
Due to NSW Touch Football (NSWTF) using Refbook as the event's official management platform, it is important you are able to attend the session.
If there are any referees who are only available for the double header, please also contact Josh Davies ([email protected]) directly for the meeting link, as you will also be required to attend.

She's displayed everlasting dedication to the sport, whether it's developing the referees at her local Affiliate at Nelson Bay Touch Football, coaching National Referee Squad officials or supporting referee pathways across NSW.

We caught up with Michael Perry from Northern Suburbs Touch Association and Hamish Pirie from Mudgee Touch Football Association to hear about their experiences in refereeing and what theyโve gained from picking up the whistle.
From making lifelong friends and being part of a community that supports each other, to building confidence, communication and learning how to apply the rules in the moment thereโs plenty more to refereeing than what happens on the field.

One of the greatest things about our game is seeing where it can take people.
This week, we're celebrating Bankstown Jets Touch Dillan Wells, who will make his NRL Touch Judge debut this weekend in the South Sydney Rabbitohs v Parramatta Eels clash.
A member of the NSW Touch Football Talented Referees Youth Squad (TRYS) and a proud one-club player with Bankstown Touch, Dillan was a familiar face at our Vawdon Cup and State Cup competitions through to 2024 before taking the next step in his officiating journey.
He then made his NRLW refereeing debut across the 2025 and 2026 seasons and now reaches another incredible milestone on the NRL stage.
Dillan's story is a reminder that Touch Football is so much more than the game itself. Across our sport, we've seen countless players, referees and volunteers use the skills, opportunities and pathways created through Touch Football to go on and achieve incredible things at the highest levels of sport.
Congratulations, Dillan. Best of luck this weekend
We caught up with newly inducted Talented Referees Youth Squad (TRYS) member Emily Pearson from Nelson Bay Touch Football who had the opportunity to attend the Emerging Blues Camp in June at the NSWRL Centre of Excellence.
Emily spent the day alongside other Emerging Blues athletes, gaining valuable experience and seeing the game from a different perspective.
