Yesterday, our U16 Dunscombe boys took to Herne Hill Reserve for the Division 3 Grand Final against South Barwon, capping off what has been an outstanding season for our group.

While the scoreboard ultimately fell just one point short at the final siren, the result does not define what this team has achieved. To reach a Grand Final is no small feat, and our boys earned their place on the biggest stage through months of hard work, commitment, resilience and belief in one another.

In a game played with tremendous intensity and spirit, the boys represented the Armstrong Creek Sharks exactly as we hope our players will; with courage, respect, determination and pride. They competed fiercely until the very last moment, supported their teammates, and upheld the values and reputation of our club every step of the way.

We are incredibly proud not only of the football they played, but of the young men they have become throughout the season. Their growth, teamwork and dedication have been a credit to themselves, their families, their coaches and our club.

To our U16 Dunscombe team: thank you for a season that gave our club so much to celebrate. Your effort, commitment and determination have set a strong example for our junior players and established a standard that will continue to shape our club for years to come. Dispite the result, reaching a Grand Final is an enormous achievement and one that should never be underestimated. The way you represented yourselves, your teammates, your families and the Armstrong Creek Sharks throughout the season was something to be truly proud of.

Although the disappointment of yesterday is still felt throughout the club, it is far outweighed by the pride we have in this group. You have the respect of the entire Sharks community and given us every reason to be excited about what lies ahead.

Hold your heads high, boys. The future is bright, and we cannot wait to see what 2027 brings.

Whether it's driving to early morning games and after school training sessions, standing on the sidelines through all kinds of weather, helping out around the club, supplying the halftime lollies, or simply being a constant source of encouragement and support, your contribution does not go unnoticed.

🏆 SHARKS LEAGUE BEST & FAIREST WINNERS! 🦈

A huge congratulations to Noah Dunscombe (U14) and Sonny Primmer (U16), who took out their respective Division 3 League Best & Fairest Awards at tonight’s AFL Barwon Junior Boys Awards!

To say we are proud and excited for both players is an understatement. What an incredible achievement and recognition of two outstanding young athletes and leaders at our club! 👏

The count was online, so we’ll update the page with photos of Noah and Sonny with their medals in the coming days. 🥇

A special shout-out also goes to Shaun Sharma (U14), who placed an outstanding 4th overall, and Seb Thomas (U16), who finished 8th overall in their respective vote counts.

We are absolutely thrilled to see such a high level of emerging talent within our ranks.

Congratulations as well as their team mates, coaches, team managers and families who have supported them throughout the season.
