Also the UNE legends -players from the 1960's, 1970s and 1980s - are holding a reunion this weekend. Be a great day - get along and support the Nomads.

The New New England Nomads get the win for David ‘Modra’ Richards 200th game for the club! And what a day it was! With a best on ground performance from the man himself, the winless New England Nomads fought hard to get over the top of in form Tamworth Kangaroos.

Saturday 4th July, David ‘Modra’ Richards will be playing in his 200th game for the New England Nomads! Wow! Came to the club in 2011, been in 6 premiership sides as a player, captain, coach and club leader. He is the Nomads all time leading goal kicker and his team will be doing everything on the day to make this a memorable occasion. With 6 quality inclusions including 3 of Modras good mates and team mates from the 2022 premiership side.
The Nomads would like to extend our gratitude to Modra for his 16 years of amazing highlights reels, service and leadership.

We are just one week away from the first AFL game of the 2026 season for the New England Nomads. Armidale’s UNE lead AFL team for men and women - players, officials and volunteers are set for a big year ahead.
