🏆 Graham Aldridge — Life Membership

A lifetime of dedication to the Ardrossan Football Club.

Graham’s journey with AFC began in 1961 at just 13 years of age. By 15, he was playing A Grade, going on to play in four A Grade premierships, win a Best & Fairest, and represent the association before his playing career was cut short at 23. But Graham’s contribution to our club didn’t end there.

For more than six decades, he has continued to give his time as a coach, selector, committee member, commissioner, unofficial skills coach and, most importantly, as the person behind the scenes who simply gets things done. From mowing and maintaining our grounds, planting trees and setting up junior ovals, to helping young players develop their skills, Graham has always been willing to roll up his sleeves and give back to the club and the next generation.

After more than 65 years of service, dedication and countless hours given to AFC, we are incredibly proud to welcome Graham Aldridge as an Ardrossan Football Club Life Member. Congratulations Graham, and thank you for everything you have given to our club and our community 💙🤍

For decades, Browny has been a dedicated and valued part of our club, giving countless hours both behind the scenes and on game day to help make our football club what it is today.

Browny continues to play an important role around the club as a football trainer, supporting our players and coaches week in, week out. Small country clubs are built on the commitment of people like you - those who quietly give their time, lend a hand and continue to put the club first year after year.

As we look ahead to the 2026/27 harvest season, T-Ports will once again be running their Grain for Good initiative, following the success of its inaugural year.
Grain for Good was officially relaunched at the 2026 Eyre Peninsula Field Days, after much public consultation T-Ports will be offer a market leading flat-rate donation of 30 cents per tonne, allowing community funding to be spread further.

It is very easy this year for farmers and organisations. You just need to follow these simple steps to start donating.

The grower will fill out the registration form, supplying their name & NGR number, then they type in the name of the club/charity they want to direct their donation to.
This is a once-off registration, it does not need to be done for every load.

To complete their registration, growers can either scan the QR Code on the posters and/or brochures displayed in our sampling huts, or they can access the registration form on our website by following the following link and clicking the 'Grain For Good 2026/27' button: https://tports.com/harvest/ .

Terms & Conditions:
Each nominated cause must be a registered not-for-profit.
Each organization is eligible to receive a maximum of $5,000 via the T-Ports Grain for Good program, with donations to be made post-harvest.
Nominations cannot be changed once the registration form has been submitted.
Only one cause can be nominated per NGR.
If you have multiple NGR's, you may nominate different causes.
All registered deliveries up to and including 31st December 2026 will be eligible.
T-Ports reserves its rights to bring forward the end date of the program should the funding allocation be exhausted.

Ardrossan Football Club’s Ben Davey has been named the Country Times Club Person of the Year for 2026, taking out the award for the second consecutive year 💙

Ben has again gone above and beyond for the club, contributing across both junior and senior football. He coached the Under 14s through to the finals and took on the role of Junior Delegate, helping coordinate and support the club’s junior teams.

At senior level, Ben stepped into the A Grade Team Manager role, taking care of team sheets, trophies, player welfare and the weekly job of sorting and washing the guernseys. He also doubled as the A Grade runner. When the club couldn’t find a boundary umpire for one game, Ben simply stepped in himself, showing his commitment to the club.

He has also helped coordinate B Grade game days and regularly lends a hand at the Thursday night BBQ after already putting in the work with the juniors and A Grade. His positive attitude, passion for the club and willingness to volunteer make him an outstanding role model for the younger players and a hugely valued member of the Ardrossan Football Club community.
