🏏 SPRING IS HERE — AND CRICKET BLAST IS GETTING CLOSER! 🖤💛

With the weather warming up and winter sports starting to wrap up, families are turning their attention to summer — and spots in our 2026/27 Cricket Blast program are filling quickly.

Cricket Blast is designed for boys and girls aged 5–8 and is a fun, welcoming introduction to cricket through games, activities and skill development.

📅 Starts Friday 16 October
🕔 5:00pm
⏱️ Approximately 1 hour each week
🏏 New and returning participants welcome

Our experienced coordinator John Richardson will be back for another season and is looking forward to welcoming returning players and introducing plenty of new children to the game.

With strong participation last season, numbers are limited, so if your child is keen to give cricket a go this summer, now is a good time to secure their place.

If you know a family with a 5–8 year old looking for a fun summer activity, tag them or share this post.

A great day was had at our Annual Club Golf Day on Sunday, with players enjoying some excellent weather and another successful AVCC pre-season fundraiser.

With the extended daylight and a quality local course close to home, Playford Lakes Golf Course once again proved to be a great setting for the day. We’d also like to acknowledge Playford Lakes as a valued sponsor of our club over a number of seasons.

Congratulations to our winners Jimmy and Gary on taking out the day.

A few other individual results from the day:

Nearest the pin — Jack P
Longest drive — Chris H

A big thank you to Anthony for once again organising the day and arranging the prizes.

It was great to see a strong turnout and another successful pre-season event for the club.
