We've already had a number of bookings and some excellent team names coming through - several Beyonce fans making an appearance with table names of 'All the Jingle Ladies' and 'Sleigh my Name'. Get your table and team name together!

FHC RETAINS THE WESTERN DERBY CUP

Congratulations to our Women and Men’s Premier League and Reserves teams for retaining the Cup this weekend in their games against Altona.

The goal difference was the same between Clubs which means FHC retains the Cup!

Weekend Parking Information🏑

Just a heads up to everyone heading to the club this weekend!

Our neighbours at the soccer club are hosting a tournament, so we expect the area to be much busier than usual. This means parking around the club is likely to be limited throughout the day.

To help make your arrival as smooth as possible, we recommend:
🚙 Allowing some extra travel time before your game or training.
🚙 Considering parking at the nearby Bowls Club (where appropriate) and carpooling with teammates if you can.
🚙 Following any parking signage and being considerate of our neighbours by avoiding driveways and no-standing zones.

A little extra planning will help everyone get to the club on time and keep traffic flowing safely.

FOTSCRAY HOCKEY CLUB PROUD JSC VENUE

FHC is proud to have hosted the Junior State Championships and had a great 5 days at our venue.

Wed & Thu we hosted the U12 Hockey 5s competition with the smaller pitch and black boards. Played on 4 hockey 5s pitches, 2 each on ASF and BSF grounds.

Fri and Sat we hosted the U14 & U16 Boys and Girls and Sunday the cross over finals.

Working with Hockey Victoria, Just Hockey and Phoenix first aid on the ground together with the HV Events Manager and Tournament Directors is always a pleasure.

Many friendly smiles and outstanding feedback on the service of our volunteers and canteen offerings.

Thanks again to everyone who pitched in over the 5 days to make it happen.

MINI-BULLDOGS IS BACK

Mini-Bulldogs is back next week after the holidays for U6, U8 and U10 for an exciting Term 3 with training starting back up on Wednesday 15th July. Please rug up for the colder weather!

We have entered 8 x U8 teams and 6 X U10 teams into Footscray Hockey Club's own Hockey Hub at our venue. Plus we have 20+ U6 Hookin2Hockey Participants for the Wednesday Program.

If there are any new members or friends who are interested in joining, very welcome to come and try hockey. We will teach you the basics and you are welcome to join up for Term 3.

Huge thanks to all our coaches, team managers and coordinators for making the Min-Bulldog program such a success. The biggest in Melbourne!

A big thanks to those that help keep the canteen running, club clean, bins emptied, toilets & grounds checked and sausages cooking for the 5 days of JSC.

If it wasn't for all the volunteers & board members putting their hands up the JSC might not have been the success it was.

Biggest thanks to Sally who did a lot of volunteer hours getting the canteen stocked and prepped and ready to go for the carnival.
