⚫⚪ 2027 Reserves Coach Announcement ⚪⚫

The Laverton Magpies are thrilled to welcome back a true Laverton treasure, with Rowan Farley appointed Reserves Coach for season 2027!

Rowan’s name is well and truly part of the history of our football club. 100 goals in a single season an incredible achievement that speaks for itself. 💯🏉

But Rowan is much more than his achievements on the field.

He is a great clubman, a great person and an extremely knowledgeable football mind who understands exactly what the Laverton Magpies are all about.

As we continue to rebuild and strengthen our football program in 2027, bringing quality people back into our club is incredibly important. Rowan knows what it means to wear the Black & White, and we know he can play a massive role in helping us build the positive, united and enjoyable club culture we want moving forward.

We couldn't be happier to have him back coaching at the Nest and look forward to working hard throughout 2027.

As the 2026 season comes to an end, the Laverton Magpies Football Netball Club would like to say a sincere thank you to every player who pulled on the black and white this season.

It wasn't always an easy year, but week after week you continued to show up, compete and represent our club with pride.

Regardless of the result win, lose or draw you kept putting in the effort, remained determined to improve and continued working together as a playing group.

A huge thank you must also go to our coaches and football department volunteers, who dedicated countless hours throughout the season to supporting our players, providing guidance and doing everything possible to bring the best out of every individual.

We also want to recognise the incredible people behind the scenes who make it possible for our teams to take the field every week.

To all of our volunteers whether you helped in the canteen, behind the bar, on game day, around the rooms, with equipment, medical support, administration, functions, fundraising or simply stepped in whenever the club needed a hand thank you.

Your time, commitment and willingness to help are what keep community football clubs like ours going.

Your contribution throughout the season has been incredibly important to our club, our players and our programs. While the Men's season may now be finished, we hope one of the greatest things everyone takes away from 2026 is the new friendships, stronger bonds and genuine mateship created throughout the year.
