The day before we left for Sydney, I tore my calf on an easy shake-out run. Thankfully it’s only a small tear, so I’m hoping I’ll be back running again soon.
Unfortunately, it meant I couldn’t race doubles with Craig. Instead of feeling sorry for myself, I jumped on the HYROX page looking for a female athlete aged 41+ who could run 4:10 pace or faster. That’s when I found Natasha.
Natasha absolutely delivered. She and Craig worked so hard together, and they finished 2nd in their age group with an incredible time of 1:00:14—just 14 seconds shy of that elusive sub-60.
But my favourite part of the whole race wasn’t the result.
It was standing on the sidelines with my girls, cheering our hearts out for Natasha. Watching them see what it looks like to support another woman, celebrate her success, and genuinely want her to do well was something special.
Sport isn’t just about medals and PBs. It’s about community, lifting each other up, and showing our kids that another woman’s success is never a threat—it’s something to celebrate.
Congratulations, Natasha. Thanks for stepping in, giving it everything you had, and creating a memory my girls and I won’t forget. 💙

🚨 Teen Girls Reminder! 🚨
Don’t forget—our Teen Girls session is TOMORROW at 11:30am, not tonight at 4:30pm! 🙌
With no sport on during the school holidays, there’s no better time to get the girls off the couch and into the gym! 💪
Expect a fun, supportive session that builds confidence, strength, and fitness while making new friends and having a great time.

What an awesome weekend of fitness racing! 💪🔥
A few Tough Club highlights:
🏅 Steve smashed out a solo PB and finished 5th in his age group.
🔥 Simon and Dan took on the Pro Doubles with a goal of going sub-70 minutes… and they nailed it!
👏 Craig backed up after racing Doubles the day before, still sore, to finish 4th in his age group in the Pro Solo. An incredible effort.
🥈 Craig and Natasha finished 2nd in their age group in the Mixed Doubles.
I was meant to race the Doubles with Craig, but unfortunately I tore my calf the day before we left for Sydney. 😭 Luckily, I found Natasha—a very fast female—to jump in. They’d only met about 20 minutes before the race, but it was awesome watching them work together so well and put together such an amazing performance.
I’m incredibly proud of everyone who represented Tough Club this weekend. The hard work is paying off, and this is only the beginning.
Bring on Melbourne at the end of the year! I can’t wait to see what the TC crew can

What a crew at Run Club this morning!
No matter your pace or running experience, everyone put in the effort and got the job done. It’s always great to see runners of all levels training together, encouraging each other, and pushing themselves to be a little better than yesterday.
