First things first — THANK YOU! ❤️

The effort put in again this weekend was absolutely massive, and after a few weeks of working bees, hundreds of metres of catch fence and a whole lot of volunteer hours…

WE ARE 99% THERE! 🙌

We estimate there’s only around 2–3 hours of work left on the catch fence. That’s it!

So we’re putting the call out for ONE FINAL WORKING BEE before those race cars take to the track. 🏁

🔥 LIBBY ELLIS – #73 🔥

If there’s a dirt track, an open gate and an opportunity to put some laps down, there’s a fair chance Libby Ellis wants to be there! 😂🏁

Libby has carved out her place in the dirt-track world through sheer commitment and one very obvious ingredient — she genuinely LOVES racing.

And we mean LOVES it.

Her racing calendar stays pretty full because, for Libby, it doesn’t matter whether it’s a big meeting, a club night or somewhere she hasn’t raced before — every track deserves a show and every crowd deserves racers who give it everything they’ve got. ❤️

Backed by more than 30 years of combined experience within her racing circle, Libby has become a familiar and respected face in LS Racing, known for turning up, getting involved and supporting the tracks and the sport she loves.

But there’s something else we love about Libby…

She doesn’t just turn up, race and disappear.

She loves the people side of Speedway too — chatting with supporters, including fans in the journey and having a bit of fun along the way. Because at the end of the day, Speedway isn’t Speedway without the people who support it.

And we reckon that makes her a pretty perfect guest for this particular party. 🎂🏁

Because this weekend isn’t only about celebrating where Carina has been…

It’s about celebrating the racers, crews, volunteers and fans who keep tracks like ours alive and make sure there’s another generation of Speedway stories still to come.

🏁🎂 LOOK WHO’S COMING TO THE PARTY! 🎂🏁

The LS360 Sprintcars are joining Carina Speedway’s 60th Birthday Celebrations on Sunday, October 4th — and we’ve got our first party guest to introduce! 👀🔥

🏁 KARL HOFFMANS – Q3 🏁

At just 26 years of age, Karl has firmly established himself as one to watch in the LS Sprintcar ranks.

Behind the wheel of the Q3 LS Sprintcar, Karl has built a reputation as a smooth, calculated and respectful racer — but don't mistake respectful for slow. 😏 When that green flag drops, he's there to race!

Since stepping into the LS division, Karl and the Q3 have become regular contenders, collecting multiple heat wins, feature podiums and plenty of strong results along the way.

And those results haven't happened by accident.

Karl is heavily involved in the preparation and setup of the Q3, with the team taking a true grassroots approach — plenty of hands-on work, plenty of tinkering, and probably plenty of conversations that start with “what if we just change this one little thing…” 😂🔧

The result?

A tidy, well-prepared race car and a driver who knows how to make the most of it.

Now Karl and the Q3 are heading to Carina to help us celebrate a pretty special milestone…

🏁🐝 500+ METRES OF WIRE IS UP… NOW WE NEED TO TIE IT OFF! 🐝🏁

Well … LOOK AT THAT! 👀👏

After weeks of working bees, plenty of hard yakka and a whole lot of volunteer hours, more than 500 metres of new wire is now UP! 🙌

That’s a pretty bloody impressive effort — and it’s all thanks to the people who have continued to turn up and get stuck in. ❤️

But before anyone gets too excited… we’re not quite finished yet! 😂

This Saturday we’re back into it to tie it all off and keep this catch fence upgrade moving along.
