The break is over and it's time to get back out on the field for another action-packed Saturday of hockey! We hope everyone enjoyed the holidays because Round 8 is set to hit the ground running. 💥🏑

The weather is looking fantastic too, with a sunny Alice Springs day forecast and a top of 20°C after a chilly morning.☀️❄️

With only a handful of rounds remaining, every game is becoming more important as teams battle for valuable competition points and finals positions. Whether you're chasing a top-two finish or looking to build momentum, there's plenty to play for! 🔥

The Friendly Games just got a whole lot louder 🤘

Aussie rock icon Shannon Noll is joining the celebrations, taking the stage at our mid-week party on Wednesday 14 October 2026.

From 5pm the Council Lawns will bring together live entertainment, market stalls and the iconic Masters Mile, now open to all ages with support from the Alice Springs Running & Walking Club. What a way to keep our 40th year celebrations going strong!

🏑 ROUND 7 – ONE MORE HIT-OUT BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS! 🏑

We're back for another big Saturday of hockey, and it looks like winter has finally decided to make an appearance in the Red Centre! ❄️🏑

We are expecting a partly cloudy afternoon with a top of 17°C. It might be time to dust off those Winter jackets, especially if you are spectating the 6pm game, but the action on the field might just be enough to keep everyone warm! ☀️🙌

The school holiday break starts after this round, so whether you're chasing points, goals or just a good day at the hockey, let's make Round 7 one to remember! ☀️🏑

We're officially halfway through the 2026 season, and the race for finals spots is well and truly on! 🔥🏑

🔵 Open Competition
Federal Hockey Club continue their dominant run, sitting undefeated on top of the ladder with a perfect 6 from 6 and a whopping +31 goal difference! 💪
Redbacks Men are keeping the pressure on in second, while Centrals and Desert Sharks are battling hard for every point.

🔴 Women's Competition
Redbacks Hockey Club are setting the pace, still unbeaten after six rounds with 5 wins and a draw! 👏
Eagles are firmly in the hunt in second, while Desert Sharks and Centrals will be looking to make their move in the second half of the season.

Plenty of hockey still to come, and with every point counting, expect some huge clashes after the long weekend! 🍿🏑
