πΌ Seniors Month 2026 β thank you! πΌ
What a lovely way to finish the month. On Saturday we welcomed over 40 guests to our Seniors Social Lunch at the Centre β a full hall, plenty of good food and lovely people.
The day began with a Welcome to Country, followed by lunch (rice noodles, spring rolls, vegie fritters, sandwiches, salads, roast chicken, fresh fruit and cakes) β nobody went home hungry, we hope! π β and an afternoon of music from the 1950s. One of our lovely ladies requested Dolly Parton's greatest hits, which brought back some wonderful memories for everyone.
Our thanks to the volunteers who made it happen β Price and Clark for the food, Leakhena, Ruby, Cherry, Megan and our beautiful ladies from Zumba girls for setting up, and Iris and Leah for keeping everything running on the day. Thank you also to Helen Checker and Eunice Lee for a month of Qi Gong and Tai Chi.
Seniors Month at ASYCC was proudly sponsored by the Northern Territory Government. π
