What an incredible afternoon!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our 2026 Patrons & Sponsors Day.

Our special guest, Billy Brownless, had the room entertained from the moment he took the microphone, sharing stories from his football career, plenty of laughs and creating memories that everyone will be talking about for a long time. Billy's humour, honesty and ability to connect with the crowd made him the perfect guest for our club.

It was fantastic to see so many of our valued sponsors in attendance, along with several prospective sponsors who came along to experience the Alexandra Football Netball Club firsthand. Days like these are our opportunity to thank the businesses and individuals whose support allows our club to thrive, while also building new relationships that will help shape our future.

To everyone who attended, donated prizes, purchased raffle tickets and helped make the day such a success—thank you. Your support means the world to our club, and we look forward to continuing to build something special together.

Team Selections | Round 13

Our Under 18 Footballers and Under 17 Netballers are the only senior teams in action this weekend, with the remainder of our football and netball teams enjoying the bye.

🏐 Learning from the Best

Over the past month, our netball program has been incredibly fortunate to welcome former Melbourne Vixens coach Julie Hoornweg to the Alexandra Football Netball Club on two separate occasions.

Julie generously shared her wealth of knowledge and experience with our players and coaches, working with everyone from our junior netballers through to our senior grades. Her sessions were engaging, insightful and full of practical tips that our players can continue to build on throughout the season.

During her most recent visit, players and coaches also had the opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with Julie, gaining further insight into her coaching journey, experiences at the elite level and her approach to developing players and teams.

The feedback from our players and coaches has been fantastic, with everyone taking something different away from the sessions. Opportunities like these are invaluable for the development of our netball program, and we are incredibly grateful to Julie for taking the time to support our club.
