We are incredibly proud to announce that Aldinga Bay Surf Life Saving Club has been named a finalist in the “Best Surf Life Saving Club” category at the 2026 Clubs SA Clubs & Community Awards! 🏆

This wonderful recognition belongs to our entire club community—our dedicated volunteers, patrolling members, competitors, coaches, officials, Nippers, families, sponsors and supporters. Your hard work, commitment and passion make Aldinga Bay SLSC the special club it is.

To be recognised as a finalist at a state level is an outstanding achievement and a testament to everything our members contribute—both on the beach and behind the scenes.

We are also grateful to Jenni Mitton MP, Member for Mawson, for her kind letter of congratulations and support.

The AGM is a great opportunity to hear about the past year’s achievements, learn about our plans for the future, and see how our club continues to serve our community both on and off the beach.

🏊‍♀️ Congratulations to our incredible Pool Rescue Team! 🏊‍♂️

A huge congratulations to everyone who represented Aldinga Bay SLSC at the 2026 Pool Rescue State Championships last weekend.

From our first-time competitors who stepped up and gave it their all, to our youth athletes achieving outstanding personal bests, and our experienced competitors earning podium finishes despite limited pool training, every one of you should be incredibly proud.

A special mention goes to our many 4th place finishes. While just outside the medals, each of those performances earned valuable points for Aldinga, helping our club finish with a very respectable 69 points overall.

Today Dan and I had the chance to visit Leni in her hometown here in Germany.

Leni joined Aldinga Bay SLSC last year while on exchange in Australia. During her time with us she earned her Bronze Medallion, became part of the patrol team, and joined our wonderful rowing team.

It was so wonderful to catch up again and personally hand-deliver her Bronze Medallion and certificate. 🌏🏅

Leni, thank you for being such a valued part of our club family. We can’t wait to see you again soon!
