Wow.

What started as a crazy idea about visiting multiple parkruns in a single day has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined.

Thank you to every person who has followed along, liked a post, shared an update, volunteered at an event, cheered from the sidelines, joined us on the road, or simply enjoyed watching the journey unfold.

The Longest Run has never been about running fast.

It’s about adventure.
It’s about friendship.
It’s about exploring new places.
It’s about stepping outside your comfort zone.
And most importantly, it’s about the amazing people we meet along the way.

From the Murray River to the High Country, we’ve shared countless kilometres, countless stories, and countless memories together.

Reaching 400 followers is a milestone worth celebrating, but the truth is…

This is only the beginning.

2027 is shaping up to be our biggest adventure yet, and I can’t wait to share the journey with all of you. This will be our 5th year since starting this adventure.

This is the plan for the 2027 edition of “The Longest Run | Murray to Mountains”.

PLEASE NOTE: None of the runs completed on the day are officially recorded on your parkrun profile. No parkrun credits are given. You can however record them as freedom runs against you parkrun profile.

The only link to parkrun, is the runs are held on each of the parkrun courses in the listed locations.

We plan to use the following parkrun courses:
Albury Wodonga parkrun
Ball Park parkrun
Frank Keenan Reserve parkrun
Wangaratta parkrun
Ovens River Trail parkrun
Bright parkrun
Mount Beauty parkrun

At the conclusion of this event, we plan to have a debrief / celebration dinner (at individuals expense) at The Dederang hotel “The Ranger” now better known as the hotel purchased by Shane Jacobson and partners.
