Good news πŸ₯³
Albury Swim Centre pools are now OPEN again.

Our chlorine levels have returned to a safe range, and everything is back to normal. Thank you for your patience while we worked through the issue and made sure the water was safe for everyone.

A big thank you to Tayla and Griffin this morning, be sure to give them a pat on the back for their efforts getting everything back on track πŸ‘

Albury Swim Centre is currently closed as the chlorine levels are sitting above safe operating levels. While this is disappointing, the safety of our members, guests and staff always come first.

Our team is currently waiting for the chemicals to circulate and for the levels to return to normal before we can safely reopen.

Unfortunately, this process can take a little time, and we're continuing to monitor the water levels closely. We are hopeful that the pool will re-open at 7:30am

We'll provide an update as soon as the pool is ready to reopen.

We appreciate your understanding and patience.

πŸ’™ Celebrating Our Local Swimming Stars! πŸŠβ€β™€οΈπŸŒŸ

Our pools are a little quieter this week, and for good reason!

A huge number of our local swimmers are in Melbourne competing at the Australian All Schools Championships, and we couldn’t be prouder of the incredible talent representing our region. πŸ‘

We’re also thrilled to celebrate one of our regular swimmers, Sienna, who has brought home a Commonwealth Games Bronze Medal! πŸ₯‰ What an outstanding achievement and an inspiration to so many young swimmers in our community.

To all of our athletes competing this week - good luck, swim fast, and know your community is cheering you on every stroke of the way! πŸ’™

🌊 World Drowning Prevention Day πŸ’™

Tomorrow is World Drowning Prevention Day, a reminder that drowning is preventable and that everyone has a role to play in keeping our community safe around the water.

Today and tomrrow, we’re also encouraging everyone to Wear a Splash of Blue to help raise awareness for drowning prevention and start important conversations about water safety.

Whether you’re visiting the pool, heading to the river, or enjoying time at the beach:
πŸ’™ Always supervise children closely.
πŸ’™ Swim at patrolled locations whenever possible.
πŸ’™ Wear a lifejacket when appropriate.
πŸ’™ Know your limits and never swim alone.
πŸ’™ Learn lifesaving and CPR skills - they really do save lives.

At Albury Wodonga Aquatic Facilities, we’re proud to support water safety through our Learn to Swim programs, qualified lifeguards, being a watch around the water facility and ongoing education to help people of all ages enjoy the water safely.

Together, we can help prevent drowning and create safer experiences in and around the water.
