I was born to be a student of the game.

I watched other coaches hit a wall and burn out the second they stopped learning.

In this industry, if you stop growing, you are dead.

Recently, I hit a crossroad. I had to ask: Did I lose the fire?

The answer was a definitive no. I am not sitting in a classroom, but I am sharper than ever.

I am hunting for gold in the small details.

I am staying locked in with the mentors who shaped me.

My appetite for the new is relentless.

The landscape is shifting.

The gym floor looks different than it did three years ago.

The needs are deeper.

The attitudes are sharper.

The goals are more complex.

If you cannot read the room, you cannot lead the room.

I am here to bridge that gap.

I hear what they want, I understand what they need, and I deliver the solution every single time.

Stop treating the gym like a bubble.

Readiness is not just a metric. It is your tactical advantage.

We track your stress to sharpen your edge.

We measure the weight of your life so we can calibrate the iron on the bar.

Every environmental factor matters.

What happens inside these walls is fuelled by how you live outside of them.

When we ask how you feel, we are changing how you think.

Our daily check in forces you to audit your lifestyle.

You start moving with intent.

You stop sabotaging your progress.

You begin to realise that the gym is just the engine room for the life you lead out there.

This conversation evolves.

It turns into an internal dialogue about how you want to show up in the world.

That is the true power of readiness. It transforms your performance into your lifestyle.

Stop guessing. Start mastering your output.

Stop counting hours and start measuring impact.

More sessions do not equal more progress.

In fact, overtraining is the fastest way to kill your gains.

Real transformation lives in the sweet spot between total exertion and strategic recovery.

Train too light and you stay the same.

Train too much and you break.

Four explosive, high intensity sessions will crush six mediocre ones every single time.

At Lonedog, we do not play the numbers game.

We build your program around your capacity to recover and your power to perform.

If you're not sure how often to train, use this as a starting point:

1. Beginners: 2-3 full-body sessions a week, with a rest day between each.

2. Building consistency: aim for a frequency you can actually sustain for 3 months, not just 3 weeks.

3. Feeling constantly sore or fatigued? That's a sign to adjust frequency, not push through it.

Stop chasing fatigue.

Start chasing results.

If you're deciding whether to anchor your gym program on Hyrox or another high-intensity performance event:

1. Ask: do you actually plan on ever doing it yourself?
2. Check readiness β€” if it's outside your realm, you're just killing yourself
3. Gear towards the activity that builds you up every day, not the one designed to break the body down

Unlike Tough Mudders and Spartans (team-sporty, community, gamified), Hyrox is a different thing.

That's not a thing we do β€” if that's what you want, there are plenty of good High Rocks gyms in town.

But you want a body that is going to perform now and in the future.

Come in and have a chat.

Standard training plans are lazy!

They assume you are a robot, showing up with the same sleep, same stress, and same energy every single day.

But you are not a machine.

You are human.

Generic programs ignore your reality.

They force a rigid schedule on a body that changes every twenty-four hours.

It is a fast track to burnout and injury.

Readiness-based training evolves in real time.

It listens to your nervous system.

It accounts for the bad nights, the high stress, and the heavy fatigue.

It pivots when you are drained and attacks when you are primed.

At Lonedog, we do not follow the pack.

Our 4Q system is engineered for the elite reality of human performance.

We do not just give you a workout.

We give you the exact stimulus your body is ready to conquer right now.

I got brought up by mentors who focused on the client. Client-Centered training & coaching: here's the person. This is what a person is.

Not a machine. A tapestry β€” social, emotional, mental, cognitive, physical.

The service is black and white, cut and dry. The person is not. That balance is tricky.

We still prioritise the person first, then deliver the service.

Not plugging in wires. Not swapping a part. The whole tapestry β€” social, emotional, mental, cognitive, physical β€” addressed first.

That's what real personal coaching looks like.

Signs Your Training Has No Real Progression (And How to Fix It)

1. You're using the same weights and reps you were using months ago.

2. You can't say what you're specifically building toward this month.

3. Your program never changes, no matter how your body responds.

4. You have worked your ass for years and you still look and feel the same.

If any of that sounds familiar, the fix isn't more effort β€” it's a program that actually progresses with you.

Something that finds the gaps and helps bridge them.

So the results come to you with the 'right' amount of effort.

Not because you have to do strict diets and some w***y two a day franchise workout challenge

In your first 30 days at the gym, focus on:

1. Learning how your body moves β€” not how much weight you can lift.

2. Building the habit of showing up on your worst weeks, not just your best ones.

3. Asking questions. Every trainer would rather you ask than guess.

Intensity can wait. Consistency and competence come first.

At Lonedog, that's exactly how we start every new member.

Why Saying Your Goal Out Loud Actually Works β€” And Who You Should Say It To

1. Don't just set a goal privately β€” say it out loud to people who'll actually see you week to week.

2. Choose people in the trenches with you, not someone β€œabove” you online.

3. When someone in your group hits a wall, treat it as useful data for your plan, not just their problem.

This is exactly why we coach in a group setting.

Because you are working side by side with people who are in the trenches.

Not having to feel like you need to live up to some influencer projecting a life that doesn't really exist in the real world.

If you want to get training that survives real life.
