ENTRIES NOW OPEN for the West Offshore Products Coastal Sprints, with Race 1 on Saturday 19 September 2026.

A short-distance Category 4 ocean sprint of roughly 15-35nm, designed as a crew development pathway toward longer ocean races or a great stand-alone coastal race on its own, and for those who cannot compete in Category 2 or 3 events. Home Saturday evening, and open to fully crewed, double-handed, or 4+ autohelm entries. This is also a great lead-in to Melbourne to Devonport and Westcoaster.

Vagabond (S477) knows how to rack up the miles.

Based at RMYS and skippered by Andrew McConchie, this Beneteau First 47.7 has been a steady presence on the ORCV offshore circuit—from Bass Strait passage races to a growing list of blue-water campaigns including Melbourne to Hobart in 2021. The 2026 Westcoaster adds another chapter to that story, and we're glad to have her in the fleet.

🏆 Australia's oldest ocean race, the Rudder Cup, has sent yachts across Bass Strait for over a century.

This year, it forms part of the new Interstate Trophy, Bass Strait Cup. It recognises consistency, seamanship, and performance across two distinctly different offshore challenges—Melbourne to Devonport Race and Three Hummock Island Race.

Be part of history.
