🎉 98 Years Young! 🎂

Last week, one of ALAC’s long-time regulars, Ivan, celebrated his 98th birthday!

What an absolute legend! 👏

Some of his fellow ALAC regulars made sure the occasion didn’t go unnoticed, organising a cake and balloons to help celebrate the big day.

We had plenty to celebrate at the Leisure Institute of Western Australia (LIWA) Awards last week! 🏆

👏 Graham Macaulay was recognised for an incredible 40 years in the aquatic industry – an amazing achievement and milestone!

🌟 ALAC was also proud to be nominated across multiple award categories, with our popular Long Live You program receiving recognition for the fantastic work it does supporting our over-50s community to stay active, connected and healthy.

A wonderful night celebrating our people, our programs and the positive impact they have in our community. 💙

Get your teams together for next season. We switch to Thursday evenings, game times between 515pm - 9pm. We will have ladies and mixed competitions running again with both comps played over 2 terms this time. 😄

🎉 Celebrating 40 Years in the Aquatic Industry – Graham “Macca” Macaulay!

Graham was honoured at the Leisure Institute of Western Australia awards last week to celebrate 40 years in the aquatic industry. What started with a love of surfing and a job at Albany’s new aquatic facility back in the 1980s turned into an incredible 40-year career in the aquatic industry.

Macca’s career has taken him from Albany to the Goldfields and Wheatbelt, before eventually bringing him full circle back to ALAC, where he’s now been part of the team for the past 10 years.

Congratulations on an amazing milestone, Macca – 40 years and still going strong! 👏

🌟 Top Dog for the Month – Dean!

A big congratulations to Dean, our Top Dog for this month! 👏

Dean has been recognised for the fantastic care he shows our customers, particularly when responding to first aid incidents. He always takes the time to make sure people feel safe, supported and well looked after.

His calm, caring approach and willingness to go above and beyond make him a great part of the ALAC team.

Well done, Dean — very well deserved! 🎉

Join us this Sunday 16 August, with sessions running every Sunday until 20 September.

🕤 9:30am – 11:00am
💰 $6.50 per person - pay at the front counter

Bring your own skates or blades, or borrow a pair from us.

⛑️ Don’t forget your helmet! If you don’t have one, we have helmets available to borrow.
