A few more jobs ticked off today , unfortunately the weather was a little wet to get a nice finish on the gravel driveway so the contractor will be back next week when it dries out a little to trim it up and finish off . Wash bays are much more user friendly with the mud gone . And the agility obstacles have had a top up . Looking good .

Well it’s almost time for the final of this years Albany Horseworld Grand Prix , it’s time to get those entries in . The AEC would like to Thank Cindy for her amazing sponsorship over the years it has made this event well sought after , we wish you well in your semi retirement and maybe hope to see you on your horse enjoying yourself .

Time for some maintenance on the driveway and extend a little now that the car park is being utilised with maximum vehicles . Please be mindful of gravel waiting to be spread for contractor when available . And if he is on the grounds upgrading the driveway ,park at the round yard end to be out of his way . Thank you for your cooperation.

The busy fence ladies have been at it again ,after removing the Victorian tea tree ,still a bit more tidying to be done . We have started to replace the sighter wire , it's coming up great .

Just a heads-up for anyone out riding today!

Tom and Sam will be at the back of the AEC Grounds doing some targeted w**d management. They’ll be getting stuck into removing the Golden Wattle, along with ongoing work to manage Victorian Tea Tree and Bindi across the area.

⚠️ Please keep an eye out for them working near the tracks, give them plenty of space, and pass with care.

What a beautiful day to tick off a few jobs at the best grounds , we really are so lucky. Our number 1 volunteer Jill always ready to give me a hand . Seats in the Hack arena fixed could do with a little paint if someone had spare time , please don't use them as mounting platforms ,we have a new set of blocks coming for this area as requested soon. We also fixed the busted fence and lowered one of the fence posts that was out of place . Colin has been busy clearing the Victorian tea tree in front of the canteen so that's the next job for Jill and I to do next week to fix another fence .

The last of the yard block signage went up today . And a few bigger and brighter reminder signage for the yards . Thank You Katherine Furr for volunteering to make them and helping me apply them today .

Our indoor bookings volunteer is having a week away so communication and signal can't be guaranteed . If you would like a booking for the next 7 days get in and do before lunch Monday 22nd June . Thanks for your cooperation.

A little bit of history of the AEC 1986 period , no designated parking or fences , rope round yard where the indoor stands today things have progressed . How lucky is the equestrian community to have such fabulous facilities .

Round Two of the Albany Horseworld Grand Prix today , weather was a little damp for the first round but improved for round 2 . Great to have good entries today , with the xcountry taking a little different track today proved a little challenging for some riders . Let's see how the points add up ready for the final round in sept .
