Hot Rock Adventure Centre

We certainly grew from our humble beginnings... a massive steep boulder wall, slab boulder wall and another top rope section, plus the auto-belay tower! As the business grew, we were able to pay our routesetters for fortnightly, then weekly sets, and expand our whole team. Youth climbers came on as junior staff members to help out during our busiest times and the coaching staff expanded as our kids programs grew. Glen stepped up to the role of Operations Manager and our timetable expanded to include more silks, yoga, & climbfit classes. Members will never know how many fans and vacuum cleaners we went through, but our staff do!

It takes a great team to pull off what we did through COVID as well as the cooperation of everyone who came through our doors once we were able to re-open. We are so grateful for our team of Hot Rock staff and the amazing people who supported us throughout the pandemic. A huge thank you to our setters, coaches, instructors, junior staff members, and of course, our senior desk staff. We wish all of you the very best for the future! ❤️🙌😊

A look back at where we started... Classic brown "natural" looking rock walls, figure 8 knots, small floor fans, & slacklines with blue matting underneath! We were using about half the floor space at that time, and how about those Morpho holds?! Still going strong 7 years later...

Hopefully even those of you who joined Hot Rock in the later years will still recognise some of the faces in the video!

We are so grateful for the community that has supported us over the past 7 years. As we close our doors for the last time tonight, we want to thank everyone who has made Hot Rock such an amazing place to work, play, train, and socialise with friends.

To all the staff, trainers, coaches and instructors, thank you for showing up and sharing your smiles, support, knowledge, and special skills that helped make Hot Rock such a wonderful place to be.

To all of our members, past and present, 10 visit pass holders, and casual visitors, thank you for your business, but most of all, thank you for having fun with us, for challenging yourselves and making Hot Rock such a rewarding and fun place to work! Thank you for all of the wonderful memories… we’re glad you came in to climb our walls, and we hope that you learned that you can do hard things! 😉🙌💪

It is with great sadness that Hot Rock Adventure Centre will be closing it's doors from October the 3rd, 2021.

The decision to close was not an easy one as we have enjoyed relationships with all of our members, customers, and suppliers over the years. Thank you for all of your support & so many great memories. Hot Rock could not have been as successful as it was without your loyalty.
