🤍 Vale Hamish 💚

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of our brave West Saints teammate, Hamish, after his courageous 683-day battle with brain cancer.

Hamish was much more than a talented young cricketer. He was a valued teammate, a fierce competitor, and a wonderful young man who left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

To Hamish’s family and friends, please know that the entire West Saints family is thinking of you during this heartbreaking time. We hope you can take comfort in knowing that Hamish touched so many lives through his courage, humour and incredible spirit.

Hamish will always be a part of our club, and he will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Hamish.

Airport West SC CC own Joel Brett was simply unstoppable in England on Saturday!🏏

Joel Brett blasted an incredible unbeaten 236 from just 173 balls leading Farnsfield Cricket Club🏏🌿 to a commanding 391/3 (50) and a massive 209-run victory over Ordsall Bridon CC, who were dismissed for 182.

A truly dominant innings featuring:

Congratulations once again to Ben Walkden on an outstanding season. Crowned with the prestigious Roy Paxino Medal in Senior Division of the , for the best player in the completion as awarded by the umpires. In a historic moment for Airport West St Christophers Cricket Club, becomes the first player from the club to claim the award, a testament to his dominance and consistency throughout the year. Finishing the season with an exceptional 617 runs and 35 wickets, Ben’s all-round performance set the benchmark across the competition. A remarkable achievement and a proud milestone for the club.

🏏 Senior Presentation Night Wrap - 5th XI Award Winners 🏏

A huge shoutout to our 5th XI, our much-loved Fathers & Sons team who put together an outstanding 2025/26 campaign 👏

Week in, week out this group embodied what the West Saints are all about: connection, enjoyment, and a genuine love for the game. With a fantastic 14 wins and just 2 losses, the boys earned their place in the NWMCA President’s Shield Grand Final, falling just short on the final day.

While the result didn’t go our way, the season itself was a massive success and something the whole club is incredibly proud of 💚🤍

What a fantastic evening celebrating our 2025/26 season at the Senior Presentation Night a couple of weeks ago. It was a great opportunity to recognise the achievements across all five senior teams and the incredible work done both on and off the field.
