This week an assortment of pics showing “it’s not just about tennis”. It’s about all aspects of tennis!!! First pic – Alex with his special woodwork creation; Abby’s sister Isabelle and Keether watching her sister’s lesson; Tuesday night social tennis; A misty early Saturday morning; Keether after a hard day; The beautiful tall sentinel keeping watch over the courts in the early evening; the hard working mower keeping the grass under control; Our beautiful Neighbour “The Park”; Assistance Coach Katie’s passion; Master Coach Jamie, Coach Jenny and Assistance Coach Keether spending special time together!!!
*In other news:- Tuesday night a quiet affair; Wednesday night “ a top notch affair - two courts of tennis; Thursday night a full house - 2 courts of gentlemen’s doubles; Saturday morning a full house!!; Saturday arvo – a tidy affair.

*It is Wednesday afternoon and this group of youngsters could not wait to get on court. Their enthusiasm was infectious and their doubles full of energy.
*Next on court were the enthusiastic Wednesday Adult/Thrills/Drills and Social Hit. They played the drill “Lost Dingo” and then those keen stayed back for social tennis.
*The social sessions on Tuesday – amazing; Thursday a slow affair; Friday afternoon - stunning; Saturday early morning “good to go”; Saturday Arvo down on numbers, high on rallying and enjoying each others company. Players to name a few:- Craig, Jacob, Tony, Meaghan, Robyn, Helen
*US Open Grand Slam hits off May 30th and is available on Channel 9!!

*It’s a cool Thursday evening; a sneaky light breeze is crafting some interesting rallies. Were the four gentlemen on court phased? NO, they just kept on enjoying their evening of tennis. Well done - Tim, Tony, Camm and Norm!!!!
* Earlier in the week, Tuesday night was mighty; Wednesday evening a BIG thank you to Fletcher who at short notice made up the numbers after two unexpected withdrawals; Then fast forward to 6.30am Saturday Early Bird social morning, these players never fail to attend and give it “their all” Playing this week- Pam, Robyn, Meaghan, Tim and Matt; Saturday arvo a plethora of tennis.
*A Quick Tennis Tip - exaggerate your follow through, hit the ball follow through and move your feet.

Keep it simple: a warm smile a gentle wave and a light hearted rally!!!! This is a small extract from Wednesday Evening Adult/Skills/Drills/Thrills followed by a Social hit. The supersonic drill with a twist involved three playing two, this resulted in spectacular rallies. On the other court a similar battle was taking part – Well done Girls and Guys!!!!
*The top stories to report this week are from Saturday morning and afternoon. Saturday morning – Tim and Matt played singles and the lovely ladies played doubles. Saturday afternoon was a brilliant afternoon. The guys out numbered the girls – Barbara, Pam and Val. Did this phase the girls NO they played delightful, tactical tennis!!!!
*Tuesday and Thursday evenings were a hoot.
* Coaching pupils and squads focused on volleying.
*Is tennis for you? You will never know till you give it a go!!!!

The pic features the social section of Wednesday Adult/Refresh/Skills/Thrills and Social Hit. The guys played doubles while the girls had a hit up on the adjoining court. They had already run themselves ragged in the first hour executing a tough drill and then on they played!!!!!
*Tuesday and Thursday night were in their element. It was a double take as all 5 players, played both evenings - Fred, Norm, Tim, Tony and Val.
*Friday lady’s squad were one lady down but that didn’t stop them!! They took part in a physically demanding drill, with only three on court, it was non stop action.
*Saturday morning and afternoon were “packed to the rafters”. Riveting play in both sessions. Too many names to mention!!!!!

*In tennis “footwork is the key” and this activity includes a split step, adjustments steps and change of direction all integral parts of tennis footwork. A big “top work”to Charlotte!!!!
*Now, what happened during the rest of the week? Tuesday night a washout; Wednesday night, Adult Skills, Drills, and Social Tennis achieved a cardio doubles drill - 5 seconds between each point; Thursday night -“guys only”; A special mention of the Friday lady's squad that executed a defensive doubles drill at an executive level great work – Tanja,Helen,Raylene and Katie; Saturday morning and afternoon – buffeted by the wind!!!!

We are so privileged to have our courts set in such a beautiful setting….and the second pic the boys are back in town – Tuesday and Thursday (well really they never left!!!) …….and last but not least 4 of the Wednesday evening players with Cara keeping the guys on the go!! Not in the pic are the other 4 players busy hitting tennis balls!!
*Now let us see what else happened – Saturday morning, a court of mixed doubles Tanja and Matt, Tim and Pam and a court of ladies singles; Saturday afternoon was a beauty!!
*Coach Jenny was over the moon to have all pupils on court to begin an awesome term 3 of tennis.
