Agnes Water Triathlon

The Agnes Water Triathlon is a not-for-profit community sporting event run entirely by volunteers.

The Agnes Water Triathlon is an annual, not-for-profit, community sporting event held in the picturesque Agnes Water on the Central Queensland coast. The event offers both Enticer and Sprint distance categories for both individuals and teams. Everyone is welcome to enter, with the race having a reputation for supporting anyone who wants to have a go!

🚧 COMMUNITY NOTICE — AGNES WATER TRIATHLON 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃

The Agnes Water Triathlon is just two weeks away, with events taking place across the weekend of 3–4 October 2026.

As part of the main Triathlon on Sunday 4 October, there will be temporary road closures in Agnes Water to allow competitors to safely complete the bike and run sections of the course.

📅 Sunday 4 October 2026
⏰ 7:30am–10:00am

Temporary closures will affect:

🚧 Springs Road
🚧 Agnes Street
🚧 Jeffery Court
From the intersection of Springs Road and Agnes Street to Tom Jeffery Park and Sunrise at 1770.

Access will not be permitted on the closed sections during this time, except for authorised emergency vehicles.

We appreciate the community’s patience and support while the event is underway. If you’re not competing, we’d love to see you along the course cheering on the athletes!

🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃 Taking on the Sprint this October?

A huge thank you to Community Bank Agnes Water-1770 for once again supporting the Agnes Water Triathlon as the major sponsor of our Sprint Distance.

With a 750m open-water swim, 20km ride, and 5km run, the Sprint is a great challenge whether you’re chasing a personal best, using Agnes Water as part of your training for a bigger event, or simply racing yourself to the finish line.
