GRIT,
DETERMINATION, BELIEF.
1770 Bowls club competed in the Division 4 Central Queensland Zone finals on Sunday 13th of September in Rockhampton. After defeating Gracemere in the morning semi final, the squad progressed to the afternoon final against Bundaberg Brothers.
In an extremely close game with 4 ends to play 1770 were behind on the scoreboard.
All players had a positive
"Stay in the fight attitude " sheer guts, determination and team spirit. With one end to play scores were locked at 38-38.
1770 found another gear and won the final 39-38 with the last bowl of the game, nail biting right to the end.
1770 bowls club is extremely proud of its first representative pennant squad in many years.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM THE BOWLO.
There will be no Barefoot bowls today. We are hosting a private function.
Also, a local accom provider has been promoting Fathers day bowls this Sunday without our knowledge. There will not be any bowls this Sunday
Thankyou to our wonderful community for your continued support and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.
Normal barefoot resumes next Friday 11/9.

That's right 100% wanting good fun a great feed and value bar.
We can't help with the everyday bit but we can help today !!

CONGRATULATIONS
1770 bowls club open pennant div 4 winners.
After a hiatus of several years, 1770 were back on the big stage and didn't disappoint.
After dropping just a single game throughout the tournament, 1770 entered the final at Calliope on sunday with a breeze at their backs but a determined and experienced Crocs team
out to spoil the party.
After a good start both 1770 sides found themselves behind at the three quarter mark but dug deep to enter the final end 3 shots up. Some terrific Crocs bowls saw skipper Cath come to the mat 4 shots down and facing defeat if the head didn't change. It came down to the last bowl of the day and Cath delivered with a perfect draw under enormous pressure to secure the win.
And then the party started !!
Well done to all involved in securing another district title.
