A little sneak peek at some potential Northern Stars merch! πŸ‘•

You might start seeing a few of our Pickle-holics wearing some Northern Stars merchandise samples around the courts.

These are just a small handful of samples at this stage, using some of the random sizes we purchased that happened to fit a few of our regulars. So, no β€” we don't have anything available to buy just yet!

But we know there are plenty of you who would love to wear a bit of Northern Stars with pride ❀️

As we trial different designs, styles and fabrics, we'd love to hear what you think.

If you see someone wearing one of our samples, let us know:
πŸ‘‰ Would you wear it?
πŸ‘‰ What do you like (or not like)?
πŸ‘‰ What styles, colours or designs would you love to see?
πŸ‘‰ Anything else you'd want to consider before buying club merch?

We're very much in the testing and feedback stage, so your opinions will help us work out what might be worth producing in the future.

Keep an eye out on the courts β€” you might spot one! πŸ‘€πŸ“

A LITTLE LOCAL RIVALRY HAS HIT THE PICKLEBALL COURT! 😏

We recently welcomed two of our local Members of Parliament to Northern Stars Pickleball for a Come & Try session β€” and let’s just say… they may represent different electorates, but they’re now competing for the same title:

πŸ† Who’s the better pickleball player?

Coming from different electorates within the Port Adelaide Enfield local council, naturally there was only one way to settle it… ON THE COURT! πŸ˜‚

Both gave it a fantastic go, picked up the basics very quickly, and most importantly, discovered just how much fun pickleball can be.

We’re not saying there’s a new local rivalry brewing… but we are looking forward to the rematch. πŸ‘€πŸ“

Thanks for joining us and giving pickleball a go.

The question is… which electorate came out on top? πŸ‘‡
Team Enfield or Team Lee? 😜

⭐SUNDAY JUST GOT A LITTLE BIGGER!⭐

We’re excited to announce that we’ve secured an additional Sunday evening timeslot at Walkerville Recreation Centre! πŸŽ‰

πŸ•” 5pm–7pm
πŸ“ Walkerville Recreation Centre
πŸ“ 8 courts available

And we’re using this extra court time to trial something new…

4 COURTS β€” SOCIAL PLAY πŸ“
A welcoming space for beginners, newer players and anyone who loves mixing about with social pickleball.

4 COURTS β€” ADVANCED PLAY πŸ”₯
For players with a high-confidence DUPR of 3.7+, looking for more competitive games against players at a similar level.

This is the first of several changes we’re trialling to create more opportunities for skill-based play while continuing to protect the welcoming social environment that makes Northern Stars what it is.

We know not everyone will be able to access the advanced courts straight away β€” and that’s okay. We’re working on creating more DUPR-rated competitive opportunities and clearer pathways for players who want to develop their game and progress into higher-level play. This is just the start!

⭐ More courts. More opportunities. More ways to play!⭐

We’ll be listening to your feedback and refining the format based on demand and how the trial works.

Today is International Day of Friendship - a day proclaimed by the United Nations to recognise that friendship between peoples, countries, cultures and individuals can inspire peace, build bridges between communities, and create a more inclusive world.

The UN also places a special emphasis on involving young people as future leaders in activities that promote intercultural understanding, respect for diversity and stronger communities.

At Northern Stars Pickleball Club, we see these values come to life every week through our players and our volunteers. 🀩

We're incredibly proud to be a club where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities come together through a shared love of pickleball. As of 30th June 2026, our members collectively speak English, Bisaya, Cantonese, Hindi, Hokkien, Spanish, Malay, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Dutch, Filipino and Persian - a reminder that while we may come from different cultures, we're united by friendship, respect and community.

We also speak the same language on the court - the Global Pickleball Federation rulebook πŸ˜‰πŸ“–

Every new player welcomed, every game shared and every friendship formed helps build a stronger, more connected community.

Happy International Day of Friendship! ❀️

πŸ‘ Australian Masters Cup – State Qualifiers

A huge congratulations to Phil J, Kirsty B, Catherine B, Julie J, and Yvonne R, who all successfully qualified for the Australian Masters Cup and are now eligible to represent South Australia at the national finals in Sydney. We wish you all the very best as you prepare to compete against the country's best masters players.

πŸ₯‰ PPA 250 Melbourne

Congratulations also to Tu-phong T on securing a medal at the Melbourne PPA 250.

The PPA Tour Australia brings together amateur and professional players in a premium, high-energy tournament environment. With almost 400 competitors across four days, the Melbourne PPA 250 showcased many of Australia's top players alongside elite international professionals, making Tu-phong's podium finish an outstanding achievement.

We're incredibly proud of everyone who stepped onto the court to challenge themselves, represent our club, and continue raising the profile of Northern Stars on the national stage.

Congratulations to you all! β€οΈπŸ“

Exciting News – We're thrilled to announce that Northern Stars Pickleball Club will now be officially running a daytime social session at Walkerville Recreation Centre, every Monday from 11am–1pm!

This marks another exciting milestone in our long and successful partnership with Walkerville Recreation Centre. We're incredibly grateful for their ongoing support and for entrusting us with the handover of this well-loved daytime session. Many of our members already enjoy playing on Mondays, and we're delighted that they can now continue doing so under the banner, community, and support of Northern Stars.

There's even more good news!️

πŸ•ΆοΈπŸŒž Better daytime play! We'll also be introducing portable glare-reduction curtains for all daytime sessions. While we're unable to make permanent modifications to the venue, we've worked closely with the centre to find a practical solution that helps reduce the impact of sunlight on the courts, making daytime play safer and more enjoyable.

These curtains are a valuable new club asset, and we'll be relying on our wonderful members to help with setting them up and packing them away each session. We greatly appreciate everyone's care and support in looking after them so they can benefit all players for years to come.

Whether you're a regular or looking for a new daytime session, we'd love to welcome you onto the court!

πŸ“ Walkerville Recreation Centre
πŸ•š Mondays | 11am – 1pm

To attend, all players will need to register through our booking system:

Here's to an exciting new chapter for our Monday daytime communityβ€”we can't wait to see you on court! πŸ’™πŸ“
