What if making friends had less to do with confidence and more to do with what youâre doing together?
Research suggests weâre more likely to connect when weâre sharing an activity than when weâre simply told to âgo mingle.â
It makes sense when you think about it.
When your hands are busy, the pressure comes off.
You already have something to talk about, and conversations happen naturally instead of feeling forced.
Thatâs exactly why Common Club isnât just about putting people in a room and hoping they connect.
Next Friday, weâre heading to laser tag, where youâll team up with new people, complete a fun photo scavenger hunt throughout the night, and finish with dessert and chats at St Louis.
If youâve been wanting to meet new people but donât love the idea of awkward small talk, this oneâs for you.
Come solo or bring a friend⌠but secure your spot before tickets are gone.

2026 has been the year of embracing my passion for connection,
Both on an individual and a collective level.
I used to think the classic old narratives
âIm too muchâ
âTheyâll leave eventuallyâ
âThey wonât see me for meâ
But the more I started to show up from a place of passion, enjoyment and authenticity⌠thatâs when it started to shift.
Because your people canât find you if youâre not being YOU. If youâre not out there to be found.
I make spaces like Common Clubâ with the intention of showing up exactly as you are.
Shy, loud, reserved, chatty, scared, confident.
It doesnât matter. These spaces are cultivated for self discovery. For community connection.
So that you too, can find your people.
Or in the least, feel proud to show up in your community as your unique individual self.
Who knows what waiting beyond your comfort zone.

you could never catch me slandering Adelaide as âboringâ when I get to spend winter nights like this âď¸
I once dreamed of life filled with genuine connection, and now Iâm lucky to be apart of something much bigger than myself.
Honestly, I wasnât feeling like my usual high energy, chatty self this night⌠but that was something I had to embrace as well, knowing that I could still show up and be that version of me even though it didnât feel like my âusualâ self.
Grateful to be surrounded by people that make that feel easy đ¤
