Carmine, fresh off third place in the Frenzy, just got in to the Joker Jackpot in time and made the most of it. The huge turning point was when he was facing two all-ins pre-flop and decided there was enough value to call with the QTs. One opponent had AQ and Preflop had QQ putting him in rough shape, but when Carmine turned a straight it eliminated both players and set him up for the victory. Guy made it to heads-up and chopped most of the prizemoney thanks to his A5 cracking AA and Tin had a good run after his 62s cracked both AA and KK! Joker poker, indeed. Carmine drew the six of hearts so the $915 jackpot survives another round.

Fred max late regged and despite having just ten big blinds was typically patient, managing to get his chips in with the best hand every time and for once they held up. The smaller field resulted in an overlay and just three places paid so the final four worked out a bubble deal. Carmine and Guy went to battle and after a double up each way Guy finally was eliminated by Fred. Carmine followed him and The Linds and Fred evened out the payouts but both enjoyed playing it out until The Linds flopped top pair and got it in only to have Fred roll over an overpair which, again, held up for the win.

Carmine took the night off dealing to get some practice in before heading up to QLD for the APL Million and it didn't take long to shake the rust off. He took his time to enter, finally getting in the action in the last couple of blind levels of registration, and carefully picked his spots to manoeuvre into position. There was some discussion of a bubble deal but an agreement couldn't be made. When the bubble burst we had two MatchrooM dealers left standing along with Simer. Shane fought valiantly but capitulated in third place and by then the other two had had enough and just split the money down the middle with Carmine as chip leader taking the victory.
