150 Games. One Incredible Person. 💙💛❤️

Tomorrows Elimination Final we celebrate an incredible milestone as Jade Belis runs out for her 150th senior game.

Jade’s football journey has taken her through Port Adelaide FC, West Adelaide FC, and now SMOSH West Lakes Women’s Football Club, where she continues to lead by example with her commitment, determination and team-first attitude.

Reaching 150 senior games is a testament to years of hard work, resilience and a genuine love for the game. Your impact on the club and the friendships you’ve built along the way are something to be incredibly proud of.

Congratulations, Jade, on an outstanding achievement. We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with you as you pull on the maroon, navy and gold once again.

150 games down. Here’s to many more! 💙💛❤️

What a special day for our club as we came together to celebrate NAIDOC Week through football, culture and community.

From the Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony to proudly wearing our Indigenous playing strip, it was a day of reflection, respect and connection. Thank you to everyone who helped make the occasion so meaningful, and to our players, volunteers, supporters and opponents for embracing the spirit of the day.

The SMOSH West Lakes Women’s Football Club is proud to celebrate the cultures, histories and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge that football has the power to bring people together, and we’re grateful to have shared this important occasion with our community.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making our NAIDOC celebration one to remember.

Telling Our Story 🦁

This Saturday, our teams will proudly wear two First Nations guernseys, each telling a unique part of the SMOSH West Lakes Women’s Football Club story.

Our Division 2 team will wear a First Nations guernsey represents each player’s spiritual connection to Country—the Country they are from and the Country on which we gather and play on Kaurna Country. It celebrates the land, waters, meeting places and skies that connect us all.

The Division 2 Reserves team will wear a First Nations guernsey that tells the story of our football family. The artwork symbolises our players, coaches, volunteers and supporters, the journey of our club, and the many First Nations communities represented within SMOSH. It honours our Nunga and Torres Strait Islander girls and women who wear the jumper with pride.

Together, these guernseys represent connection—to Country, culture and community—and celebrate the stories, strength and legacy of the First Nations people who are part of our club.

It’s Round 14 and we’re taking on Port Districts in a huge afternoon of footy!

Please note that while both games start at 4:45pm, they will be played at different venues, so make sure you check where you’re headed before bouncing down.

Reserves – 4:45pm at Port District
Division 2 – 4:45pm at SMOSH West Lakes

Let’s get around both sides and make plenty of noise for our Lions wherever you’re watching from! 💪🦁

This week, we’re also proud to celebrate NAIDOC Week. The 2026 theme, “50 Years of Deadly”, marks an important milestone celebrating five decades of recognising and honouring the history, culture, achievements and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It acknowledges the Elders, leaders, artists and communities who have helped shape the movement and celebrates the strength of the world’s oldest continuous living cultures, while looking ahead to the next generation with pride and hope. We encourage our SMOSH community to take a moment to learn, listen and celebrate First Nations culture.

Go Lions! 🦁
