Today we celebrate the birthday of Enrico Cecchetti (1850–1928), one of the most influential figures in the history of ballet.

As a renowned dancer, teacher and choreographer, Cecchetti developed the Cecchetti Method, a carefully structured approach to ballet training that continues to be taught around the world today.

At SCDA, we are proud to use the Cecchetti Method into our ballet program, helping our students develop strong technique, artistry, musicality and a lifelong appreciation of classical ballet.

Happy Birthday, Enrico Cecchetti, and thank you for the legacy that continues to inspire dancers generation after generation. 🩰💙
