πβοΈ GAME DAY WRAP-UP βοΈπ
After being asked if we could host this weekβs game, the Pooraka Superules AFL Masters Football Club jumped at the opportunity to play on their home deck! β€οΈπ
After missing the last game because of a bit of a thunder situation β‘π, the boys were more than ready to get back out there and play some footy. Letβs just say there was plenty of pent-up energy waiting to be released! ππ
And what a day to come back to it!
The Pooraka Superules AFL Masters Football Club were up against the Henley Sharks Over35s π¦, with both sides putting on a hard-fought contest from start to finish.
The oval was in beautiful condition π±βοΈ, the sun was shining, and the footy certainly didnβt disappoint! There were some great passages of play, plenty of pressure, big contests and some amazing kicks for goal from both sides π―π.
At the end of the day, there was one clear winnerβ¦
β€οΈπ FOOTY! πβ€οΈ
It was great to see the boys back out there, enjoying the game, having a laugh and doing what Masters footy is all about β playing hard, having fun and enjoying the day with mates π»ππ.
But game days like this donβt just happenβ¦
A HUGE thank you to all our volunteers who put in the work behind the scenes! πππ
From getting the food ready π₯©, firing up the BBQ π₯, serving everyone ππ, setting everything up before the game π and sticking around afterwards to clean everything up π§Ή β we simply couldnβt do it without you!
And a special thank you to West AFL Masters Football Club, Trinity Old Scholars Football Club and the Henley Sharks Over35s π¦ for sticking around after the game, enjoying the BBQ ππ₯©, grabbing a few beers π», buying a raffle ticket ποΈ and helping make it such a great day!
And a big congratulations to Vinh Lieu and π₯³π on winning the raffle prize! ποΈππ
We hope you enjoy the winnings β although weβre pretty sure the tickets were purchased purely for the love of supporting the clubβ¦ ππ»β€οΈπ

π΄π΅ MATCH WRAP β POORAKA BULLS MASTERS ON THE ROAD! π΅π΄
π The Pooraka Bulls Masters made the trip out to Gawler on Sunday to take on Trinity Old Scholars Football Club in what turned out to be a fantastic game of footy! π
Unfortunately, a few late withdrawals meant we were left with only a couple of players on the bench π
, but the Pooraka Bulls Masters dug deep and gave it everything from the opening bounce to the final siren. πͺβ€οΈπ
π§οΈ Considering the rain we'd had leading into the game, the oval was in outstanding condition. The wet surface made for a slippery ball, plenty of contested footy, and some terrific passages of play from both sides. π
π€ Before the first bounce, the Pooraka Bulls Masters proudly wore black armbands in honour of the passing of the mother of one of our own, Darren Crossman. Our thoughts and deepest condolences remain with Darren and his family during this difficult time. β€οΈ
π₯ It was a tough, hard-fought contest from start to finish, played in the true spirit of AFL Masters. There were big contests, great teamwork, plenty of laughs, and some quality football on display. In the end, football was the real winner! πβ€οΈπ
π€ A big shout out to Trinity Old Scholars for lending us a couple of players, allowing us to get some much-needed rotations throughout the game. That's the kind of sportsmanship that makes Masters footy so special! π΄π΅
πβ€οΈ We also wish the Trinity players who unfortunately suffered hamstring injuries during the match a speedy recovery. We hope to see you both back out on the park again very soon! πͺ
π We were told Trinity Old Scholars had the best hot dogs this side of town... unfortunately they'd all sold out by the time we finished! π We'll definitely have to get there a little earlier next time!
π A huge thank you to all of our loyal Pooraka Bulls Masters supporters who made the trip out to Gawler to cheer us on. Your support from the sidelines never goes unnoticed and means so much to the players and the club. β€οΈπ
π₯ If you'd like a copy of the game footage, please get in touch with Dave Cameraman.
π A huge thank you to everyone at Trinity Old Scholars for your hospitality, sportsmanship, and a great afternoon of footy. We look forward to the next time our clubs meet on the field.

ππ΄π΅ R U OK? Round 2026 ππ
What a fantastic day of footy! ππ
The rain held off π€οΈ, the big muddy patch in the middle of the oval kept everyone on their toes π, and despite the slippery conditions, both teams put on a great contest with plenty of skill, effort and sportsmanship. π
Our π Pooraka Bulls Masters proudly wore yellow socks in support of R U OK? Round, helping raise awareness of the importance of checking in with your mates. π Sometimes a simple conversation can make all the difference.
It was a game enjoyed by everyone on and off the field, and we'd like to thank our opposition Superjets Aflmastersfor playing the game in the true spirit of AFL Masters. π€
A massive thank you to all our supporters, volunteers, families and everyone who came out to cheer us on. Your support means the world to our club! π΄π΅
π₯ Did something special today? Took a screamer, kicked a snag, laid the perfect shepherd... or just want proof you actually got a kick? π
If you played on University Oval , reach out to Dave Cameraman for a copy of the match footage. It's the perfect excuse to show off to family and friends... or finally settle those "I definitely had 25 touches!" debates at training. ππ
π Remember: Don't just ask "R U OK?" β take the time to listen, check in and stay connected. A conversation could change a life.
