A fantastic evening spent with our Pooraka Bulls crew, enjoying plenty of laughs, friendly competition, and great company. Events like these are a great way to catch up with members from clubs across the AFL Masters community and strengthen the friendships that make our competition so special. 🤝🍻

A big thank you to AFL Masters SA for organising another successful event, and to the West Adelaide Football Club for being wonderful hosts. 👏

🌧️🥶 Too cold and wet for footy? Time to hit the gym! 💪🏋️‍♂️

A great crew from Pooraka headed down to our awesome club sponsor, Funlife Fitness Centre, for a workout. Although… we’re still not convinced there was more working out than talking! 😂💬 Either way, it was a fantastic evening full of laughs, good company and a few calories burned. 💪😁

After working up an appetite, we wandered next door to the Settlers Tavern 🍔🍻 to check out the new renovations and grab a feed. Safe to say, the renovations look fantastic and the food definitely didn’t disappoint! 👌🤤

A huge thank you to Fun Life Fitness Centre for having us. ❤️ If you’re looking for a friendly gym with a great atmosphere, be sure to check them out and support the businesses that support our club. 🙌

🔴🔵 POORAKA MASTERS MATCH DAY WRAP! 🔵🔴

What a beautiful day for football! ☀️🏉 The sun was shining, the atmosphere was fantastic, and it was another great day to be at Pooraka.

The new Pooraka Sporting Club changerooms are complete, and they look amazing. Combined with the oval in outstanding condition, our club is looking better than ever! 🔴🔵

This week the Pooraka Masters took on the Metro Kookaburra in a game that was played in the true spirit of AFL Masters. With the Kookaburras a little short on numbers, we were more than happy to lend them two of our own legends, Jeff Low and our President, .

It must have been something about wearing different colours because suddenly Lowey and Robbo turned into superstars! 😂 They were clunking marks all over the ground and even snagging a few goals! 🏉🎯 We're still trying to work out why they save those performances for when they're not wearing the Pooraka jumper! 🤣

There were plenty of great passages of play, some outstanding skills on display, plenty of laughs, and most importantly, a game played with great respect and sportsmanship from both sides. That's what AFL Masters is all about. 🤝

A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make the day such a success. To our BBQ crew, the canteen volunteers, and everyone who helped set up and pack up and keep the day running smoothly, we couldn't do it without you. Your time and effort are what make our club such a great place to be.

A big thank you to the Southern Kookaburras for a fantastic game and for embracing the true spirit of Masters football. We wish them all the best for the rest of the season.

The Pooraka Bulls Masters are back in action this Sunday as we take on the South Metro Kookaburras in what promises to be a tough contest.

🏉 Great night with the Bulls!

Having a night off the track gave everyone a chance to catch up, enjoy each other's company, and have a few laughs away from the footy field.

It was great to sit back and watch Sunday's game together, reliving the highlights, big plays, and a few moments that sparked plenty of discussion! 🍻😂

A few pizzas were demolished along the way 🍕, making for a perfect night of good food, good company, and plenty of footy chat.

🚗💨 A long drive to get there...
🌧️ Heavy rain the day before...
🤔 We were expecting a muddy slog...

But instead, we were treated to a perfect day for football! ☀️🏉

This week saw the Pooraka Masters take on the Port Noarlunga Football Club Masters in what turned out to be a fantastic day of footy. 💪🏉

A huge welcome to our two debutants, Jamie and DP 👏👏. Both fitted in beautifully from the first bounce and looked right at home in the red and blue 🔴🔵. Great blokes and great additions to the Masters family!

The game itself was a terrific contest. Hard fought from start to finish, with plenty of skill, great ball movement, and some outstanding passages of play from both sides. 🔥🏉

Now for the highlight of the day... 😂

In what can only be described as a coaching masterstroke 🧠♟️, Coach decided to throw Crash forward.

Fresh off watching Carlton win four games in a row 💙, Crash must have thought he was the second coming of Charlie Curnow! 😂

Suddenly he was marking EVERYTHING! ✈️🙌

Then came the moment of the match... 😲

A miraculous goal from the boundary line that defied physics, common sense, and probably several AFL rule books! 🚀🏉🎯

That goal has well and truly earned a place on Crash's highlight reel 🎥🏉. We suspect he'll be asking us to watch it after every training session for the rest of the season... and probably again at presentation night! 😂🍻

At the end of the day, there were plenty of smiles 😁, plenty of laughs 😂, and the game was played in the true spirit of Masters football 🤝❤️.

On the drive to today’s game, it definitely looked like we were in for a wet one 🌧️😅 Dark skies, clouds rolling in, and we were all starting to rethink our decision to wear the white kit 🤍😂 Safe to say there were a few thoughts going through our minds about how long those jumpers would stay clean!

As it turned out, the weather gods were on our side 🙌☀️ Not a drop of rain all day and perfect conditions for a great game of footy.

What followed was a fantastic contest between two great clubs 💪🏉 Massive credit to West AFL Masters Football Club and our boys for putting on a quality game from start to finish. The intensity was high all day 🔥 Strong pressure around the contest 💥 Great ball movement 🏃‍♂️💨 hard running, second efforts and plenty of determination from both sides. There was plenty of skill on display and some really good football played.

At the end of the day, the real winner was football ❤️🏉🐂 While the game itself was fantastic, one of the best things to see after the final siren was the smiles on everyone’s faces 😃 Masters football is special because of the friendships built through the game and the enjoyment it brings 🤝🐂 Footy brings people together, and those friendships are what make it all worthwhile ❤️
