After emptying the van and teaching dog school, I headed down to the Molinara Club to wash and polish the floor. It looks good but still need to test it tomorrow. Now I need to take a break before before doing NYE documentation.

We have been nominated and now a finalist in The Advertiser's search for SA's Best Dance Teacher of 2026. We thank those people who nominated us. We do not expect awards for doing what we love. Our reward is seeing our dancers progression and their enjoyment of dance.

Whilst we don't expect to be in the top 5, we appreciate your support.

Voting is now open and will close in a week on Wednesday, August 19 at 8am.

SWAY's Back to the 50's Ball will be held on Saturday 15 August 2026 at the Ballroom Function Centre (Ukrainian Hall) 64-66 Orsmond Street Hindmarsh.

***15 minutes before the Ball starts we will be continuing to teach "Mambo Fiesta". Come early and try it.***

We have vacancies in each of the two sessions:
* Afternoon (2pm to 6pm) and
* Evening (7pm to 11pm)
so take your pick which one you would like to attend.

It's $25 (cash at the door) per session, so that you can dance the afternoon or night away to a blend of Ballroom, Latin, New Vogue and Sequence Dancing. BYO food (nibbles) and drink.

I am just correcting a rumour going around. SWAY is not moving venues. SWAY will still run as usual at the Ballroom Function Centre. There is now an additional dance being conducted at Cosgrove Hall under the banner of Let's Dance Ballroom Community, hosted by Judy and David Reynolds with us co-hosting. Please note, they are two separate entities. If you hear someone spreading this rumour, please correct them and nip it in the bud. Cheers Luke and Lynette
