The 2026 Distinguished Teacher Service Awards (previously the TRB Service Award), recognises and celebrates outstanding teachers whose long and distinguished careers have made a significant and lasting contribution to the education of children and young people across our state.
The three awards in this category are:
โข Early Childhood Distinguished Teacher Service Award
โข Primary Distinguished Teacher Award
โข Secondary Distinguished Teacher Award
Teachers may self nominate or be nominated by:
โข another registered teacher who is currently working with the nominee or has done so within the past five years, or
โข a community member

The Minister's Graduate Achievement Award recognises a pre-service teacher (PST) who has recently graduated, or is about to graduate, from a South Australian Initial Teacher Education program, who has overcome a hurdle during their study, for example a personal, academic, financial, or health issue that may have otherwise been a barrier to their success.
Completed nomination forms and all required documents must be submitted via email to: [email protected] no later than midnight on Sunday, 23 August 2026.
Successful award recipients will be invited to our Annual Awards Ceremony which will be held in the Banqueting Room, Adelaide Town Hall, on Wednesday, 23 Septembers 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
