SA Open finals in full swing at SA Badminton Arena Enfield. If you want to witness some exciting matches head over to Enfield now!

The SA Open begins tonight at Enfield and continues Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. There are 295 entries so make sure you allow extra time to find a park 🚘and walk to the venue🚶‍♀️ as parking at SA Badminton Arena is limited. Match times will be strictly adhered to so don't be late. If you want to witness some great badminton rallies make sure you attend some or all of the sessions as we have players coming from around Australia and overseas. At the same time enjoy some delicious food from our canteen.🍝🍜

Great to see one of our country clubs increasing in numbers with many juniors joining the ranks. Some fantastic work being done by the committee members.

A fantastic turn out for opening round of the 2026 competition season on Thursday night at Investigator College, Victor Harbor… it was great to welcome new players and see familiar faces return 🏸

"I am honoured to join the Board of Badminton South Australia and contribute to the continued growth and success of our sport.

As a graduate and current member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), I bring a strong understanding of governance principles, strategic oversight, risk management and compliance.

My approach is always grounded in integrity, accountability, and collaboration, ensuring decisions are made in the best interests of the sport, its stakeholders, and the broader community. I believe a board that combines sound governance with genuine on-court passion can drive lasting impact, strengthening the game’s reach, inclusivity, and reputation throughout the state.

Beyond governance, I have a lifelong passion for sport and a deep appreciation of its ability to improve health, foster social connection, and unite people from all cultures and backgrounds. I am an active social badminton player in South Australia and have previously represented South Africa at state level in both tennis and diving. I am also a qualified British LTA Level 3 tennis coach. These experiences have given me valuable insight into athlete development, community engagement, and the pathways that encourage lifelong participation in sport.

I look forward to working alongside my fellow Board members, clubs, volunteers, players, and supporters to help strengthen and grow badminton throughout our state. I am excited to contribute my experience, enthusiasm, and commitment to Badminton South Australia’s vision for the future. "
