Miles #9
Pitcher, First base, Third base
Miles comes from a long line of basballers. He is a 4th generation baseball player. As soon as he could walk his dad bought him a bat, and he has been smacking bombs ever since!
Miles is excited about this trip as he has not been on a plane or travelled interstate since he was 3. His family usually enjoy caravanning with the dogs. Miles has a younger sister and 2 pet dogs.
Miles enjoys soccer, boxing, camping and video games. His favourite colour is blue and his favourite food is hot dogs. He works incredibly hard and is looking forward to showcasing his skills in Queensland.
Miles swings a big bat, has smart base running skills, high baseball IQ, and a hard throw. He enjoys playing first and third base, has been pitching really well and is also happy to play any position required of him.

Kai #10
Pitcher / infield
Kai's biggest sporting achievement so far is striking out 9 batters in 3 innings. Kai's pitching keeps getting better and better each week in the lead up to the tournament.
He's been playing short stop, third base, first base and a little bit of outfield. It doesn't matter which position you put him in, he does a brilliant job.
He's also been working incredibly hard on his hitting too.
Kai has a pet dog and enjoys eating ramen. His favourite colour is orange. Kai enjoys baseball, running and learning aviation. His favourite baseball player is Shohei Ohtani.

Leonardo #8
Catcher / short stop
Leonardo has been working extremely hard on all aspects of his game in preparation for the tournament. His main positions are short stop and catcher, but he can play any position on the diamond and has also been working hard to improve his pitching so he can pitch where needed.
He has 2 siblings and a pet dog. One of his siblings is also on the team. He has been playing for 6 years (including tee-ball). His favourite colour is blue and his favourite food is rice. Leonardo is quite a sporty kid and excels at Ice Hockey, Pedal Prix and Rowing as well as baseball. He is also a great swimmer too. After the tournament Leonardo is travelling straight to Nationals for Ice Hockey.
Leonardo's hobbies include travelling, playing sport and eating.

Henry #6
Catcher / utility
Henry has been playing baseball for 4 years. Henry is the only player from Gawler selected in this team and this will be his first interstate trip for baseball. His favourite position is catcher but he has also been learning to play first base and pitch too, and is happy to play any position on the diamond.
He hits the ball hard and has a great throw over to second base. We are expecting lots of hard hits and strong throws from him while away.
Henry's favourite colour is teal and favourite food is salted caramel. He has one younger brother. His hobbies include PS5, reading, lego and VR. He supports the Texas Rangers.
Henry plays both softball and baseball. Last season Henry was selected as a train-on for the State under 14 boys softball team and this season is hoping to go one better and make the final team.

Harvey #86
Catcher / Centre field
Harvey's favourite food is chocolate. He has 3 pet cats. He plays footy and baseball and just loves sport in general.
Hard to believe this is only his first season of baseball. He's playing like he has been at it for years.
Harvey has been working super hard on his throw overs to second base and is now hitting his target with pinpoint accuracy. Base runners wont want to take on this arm in Queensland.
Harvey has exceptional hand-eye-coordination, lighting fast reflexes and super fast base-running speed. Hes been known to take some blinders out in the outfield too.
His special skills include cooking and we are all looking forward to see what he can cook up for the whole team while we are away.

Aiden #15
Pitcher / utility
Aiden is our other left handed pitcher.
Aiden has been working extremely hard on improving his pitching and all aspects of his game. He is one of the hardest working players on the team and has been training 3 times per week in preparation for the tournament.
He has an older brother and sister and a pet dog. His favourite food is lasanga and his favourite colour is orange. He supports the Crows and the LA Dodgers. When not playing baseball, Aiden enjoys gaming and climbing.
When we go to Queensland, Aiden is looking forward to... missing out on school.
Let's not tell him the tournament is during the school holidays!

Finn #12
Pitcher/utility
Finn pitched the first pitch of the State Charter tournament, and he also pitched the last. That pitch clinched the win, striking out the final batter and sending Marlins through to the Little League Invitational Tournament in Queensland.
Finn has 2 older brothers who also play baseball and grew up hitting and throwing the ball around in the backyard from the day he could walk.
Finn has 4 pet dogs, plays football and baseball, and enjoys eating a good burger. His favourite colour is blue.
Finn is a two time MVP for his club team (in only 2 seasons of baseball). He can play all around the diamond but his strength is his arm. Not only is he super accurate but the kid can throw heat!!

Armando Gabriele Cerquozzi-Rodriguez #3
Pitcher, Catcher, Third base
Not only does he have the longest name, he also hits the long ball (try writing that on your line up card each game!).
Armando, known for his big bat, hit 2 home runs during the regular season and then another big home run during our grand final at the state charter tournament to help his team seal their tickets to Nationals.
His favourite colour is red and favourite food is pizza. He has a pet turtle. His hobbies include baseball, baseball and playing baseball with his dad.
Armando has been working hard on improving his fitness and his base running skills.
He has recently stepped out from behind the plate to become a prominent feature on the mound. Look out for this up and coming pitcher in Queensland.

Player Profile
Oliver Wilson #23
Pitcher, First base, Outfield
Oliver has been training 3 times a per week with the Viper Academy (in addition to twice per week with our team) in preparation for the upcoming tournament. He was a train-on last season and it is a testament to how hard he has worked to see the massive improvement he has made this season.
He is one of only 2 left handed pitchers on our team and has adjusted well to playing first base making this position his own. He's been working especially hard on his hitting so look out for some great hits by this kid in the tournament.
Oli has 2 older sisters and enjoys playing guitar in his spare time. His favourite food is bananas and his favourite colour is pink.
Oli has also kindly offered to do the entire team's washing while we are away!!
