Working on, in or near Confined Spaces is a potentially high-risk activity.
Skills, knowledge and procedures and confidence can fade over time.
If it’s been a while since your last course, now is a good time to refresh your knowledge, revisit safe work practices and make sure you’re still confident and in date using height safety equipment correctly.

From December 1st, 2026, Australia will adopt the new Workplace exposure limits for airborne contaminants.
Persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBUs) must eliminate or minimise risks in the workplace from airborne contaminants so far as is reasonably practicable.
MSS are working with employers in undertaking reconfiguration of portable and fixed detection systems over the coming months as part of the changes, to ensure your alarm points and exposure limits are correctly set to the new 'limits'.
The limits (previously standards) in place commencing December 1st, 2026, can be found on Safework Australia's information page.

The MSA M1 SCBA is one of the most capable self contained breathing apparatus systems currently available. Designed with firefighters, emergency response teams and industrial users in mind, it combines comfort, durability and advanced technology in a package that performs exceptionally well in demanding environments.
One of the standout features is its modular design. Components can be configured to suit different operational requirements, making future upgrades and maintenance straightforward. The ergonomic harness is comfortable during extended wear, while the balanced weight distribution helps reduce operator fatigue.
From a service perspective, the M1 has been engineered with maintenance in mind. Routine servicing is efficient, parts are readily accessible, and the platform is designed to minimise downtime, an important consideration for organisations managing operational readiness.

On site today.
6yr servicing of Scott Sigma and Propak self contained breathing apparatus.
I fractured my humerus just over a week ago in a slight disagreement with a 2mtr high bank whilst training for a 6 hour enduro riding a KTM450.
Not much holds me back! Perseverance in adversity.
We modified the service truck to allow me to operate (mostly) with one arm in a supportive sling, and not let my team down.
