Congratulations to our new Youth Ambassadors, Evangeline and Ruby. Also, a huge thank you to our fabulous teachers Paul Knobloch , Zoë Dunwoodie and Pavlova School of Ballet . Thank you for making Masterclasses such a valuable and enjoyable experience for the dancers. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year

“ A wonderful day was had by all at the RAD Advanced 1 bursary finals. Patric Annette came to support SA Finalist Bundjalung Coker and Miss Simpson on the day.
Also Julie Fleming was there with her Victorian finalist student Chloe Lahood, and a great thanks to her for all she did for Bundjalung and his family for the week that followed before he took his advanced 2 exam.
We wish Bundjalung a very fond farewell as he sets off for the USA and his new dance adventure. He goes with all our love ❤️ and best wishes for the future. Miss S # # #”

Held on Sunday 14 June at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in Melbourne, the bursary brought together talented young RAD students from across five states and territories. Westcott, who represented DE Studios & HQ Classical Coaching, was awarded the $5,000 bursary, generously supported by Bloch Australia, to assist her ongoing dance training and artistic development.

The finalists began the day with an open class led by respected RAD examiner Kerrie Smith, accompanied by pianist Akiko Loong, before presenting classical variations and a contrasting Dancer’s Own piece. They were adjudicated by Ross Hannaford and Lindsay Ellman-Brown, who commended the high standard displayed throughout the competition.

The 2026 finalists were:

ACT: Camilla Machado, Kim Harvey School of Dance
NSW: Anna Stephensen, Dance North Academy
QLD: Sienna Westcott, DE Studios & HQ Classical Coaching
SA: Bundjalung Coker, Terry Simpson Studios
VIC: Chloe Lahood, Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School

An intensive workshop focusing on a preparation for
students undertaking Graded Examinations. Classes will
be focused on technique and syllabus details. Students
not participating in examinations are also welcome to
attend.

We would like to congratulate Thomas Hobbs and Bundjalung Coker on a wonderful performance and open class at the South Australian Advanced 1 bursary on Sunday.
A special thank you to all staff that helped prepare them for the day.

Finally a big congratulations to Bundjalung on winning the day and on becoming the SA Finalist for the Australian Advanced 1 Bursary 2026 scheduled for
Melbourne on Sunday the 14th June.

We wish him all the best for the finals.
