This trip will focus on aquatics development through the Outdoor Adventure Skills (OAS) framework, offering opportunities to work toward Snorkelling Safe and Trained Participant qualifications.

Every winter, thousands of these incredible creatures gather near Whyalla for one of the world’s most spectacular marine events. 🌊✨

It has been a while, as many aquatics activities took a back seat due to the algal bloom.

Yesterday it was fantastic to see 24 Scouts adventure back in the water giving snorkelling a go!

With perfect weather on our side, those who ventured in had an amazing experience—especially getting up close with so many different varieties of fish. 🐟🌊

Port Noarlunga Reef Snorkel Day

Come snorkelling with the Scouts SA Aquatics Team on Sunday 29th March at Port Noarlunga.

Participants will learn about the wildlife and ecology of the Port Noarlunga reef and tour the reef with knowledgeable guides.

This is a fantastic opportunity for members working towards OAS Snorkelling “I Statements”.

Eligibility
Registered Members of Scouts SA - Scouts, Venturers and Rovers - Participants must be able to swim independently in deep water without assistance.
