The story of Thursday starts early for the O35 men in the first innings. HUMPHRYS and FARRELL standing on base and HOPTON steps in with that quiet confidence he carries. 3 balls and he gives it a crack! One towering shot that clears the fence. A three‑run statement written in green.

In the second, ABBOTT keeps the pressure alive, ripping a triple that tears down the right. He doesn’t wait long before his wheels keep going with one wild pitch and he’s coming home, stretching SA’s lead while the ANZACs scramble to settle. They answer with two runs of their own, refusing to let the game slip away.

The middle innings become a tug‑of‑war but then the seventh rolls in. RATTIGAN legs out an infield single. HUMPHRYS follows with another. FARRELL adds a third. Then HARRIS steps in and detonates a centre‑left bomb that sends the bench into chaos. FAIRLEY adds a clean single to cap it off as five hits and four runs.

Outstanding batting in the second game of the day - HARRIS blasting another homerun, PETERSON stacking an infield single, double and triple, FARRELL launching a homerun of his own and constant pressure from ANDREWS, FAIRLEY, RATTIGAN and McLEOD with clean timely singles

At the end of Day 3, SA Men sit happily in SECOND place ⭐️

It took the SA women a few innings to find their spark, but once the 4th rolled around, the game was on fire

MEIJER walked to open the door, ALLEN reached on an error, and MENTHA kept the wheels turning by pushing the runners around on a fielder’s choice. VERWAY added another walk, and MAYER’s shot to right brought ALLEN home. HASSEN followed with a double that cleared two more. WHITE reached on an error at short and later crossed the plate thanks to MEIJER’s centre‑field hit. CHRISTENSEN singled to right, and ALLEN drew her second walk of the inning
Seven runs from four hits 🔥

ACT managed a single run in the 5th, but SA had already seized control and locked down their first win of the tournament and doing it against the ladder‑leaders.

The women also stacked up the hits against WA with ten across the lineup - doubles from Peterson and Meijer, three singles from White, two from Allen, and singles from O’Brien, Christensen and Hassen ⭐️
