βΎ Southern Districts Baseball Club β 2026/27 AGM
Following our recent Annual General Meeting, we are pleased to announce and congratulate the members who have been elected and appointed to leadership positions within the Southern Districts Baseball Club for the upcoming season.
On behalf of the entire club, thank you to everyone who has volunteered their time, energy, and expertise to help lead and support SDBC. The strength of our club has always been built on the dedication of volunteers who are passionate about baseball, our members, and our community. Thankyou to our outgoing Board Members and a special thankyou to our outgoing CEO Leah Bunney who has done a power of work as CEO over the past 4 years.
π Congratulations to all Board Members, Coordinators, Managers, and Volunteers who have accepted roles for the 2026/27 season. Your commitment ensures that Southern Districts Baseball Club remains a strong, welcoming, and successful club both on and off the field.
As we begin preparations for the upcoming season, we still have a number of important volunteer positions that need to be filled:
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Managers Coordinator
Sponsorship Coordinator
Social & Fundraising Coordinator
Duty Managers
These roles are vital to the ongoing operation and growth of our club:
CEO β Oversees the day-to-day administration and operations of the club while supporting the Board in delivering the club's strategic objectives.
Managers Coordinator β Supports team managers by providing resources, guidance, and ensuring compliance with club requirements.
Sponsorship Coordinator β Builds and maintains relationships with sponsors and local businesses, helping secure valuable support for the club.
Social & Fundraising Coordinator β Plans and delivers social events and fundraising activities that bring our club community together and generate important revenue to support our programs and facilities.
Duty Managers β Act as the club's responsible representative during operational hours, assisting with the smooth running of club activities and ensuring our facilities remain safe, secure, and welcoming.
Full job descriptions can be found here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=13RURypeuentAg0puhIW1UO1QnnFYisD1&usp=drive_fs
These positions can be shared across multiple volunteers, so if you'd like to contribute but are concerned about the time commitment, we'd still love to hear from you.
In addition, the Club's Volunteer Engagement Program was presented to members at the AGM and was unanimously ratified and adopted.
This exciting initiative has been developed to recognise, support, and encourage volunteer participation across all areas of the club. The program will play an important role in ensuring the ongoing sustainability of SDBC while sharing the workload more fairly across our membership.
Stay tuned for further announcements and detailed communications regarding the Volunteer Engagement Program, including how it will operate and the opportunities available for members and families to get involved.
Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to support our club. Whether you're a player, parent, supporter, or past member, there is an opportunity to get involved and make a real difference.
If you are interested in any of the vacant positions, or would like more information, please contact us via Facebook Messenger, [email protected] or speak with a Board member.
Together, we can continue to make Southern Districts Baseball Club the home of baseball in the south and build an even stronger future for our members and community.
Cheers
Glenn Roebuck
